An Ideology of Contradictions

In logic, if one finds a contradiction in a proposed premise it is considered to be flawed and is discarded. This is because something cannot be and be simultaneously. In other words, the light cannot be both on and off at the same time. But in the minds of the left, their political ideology is filled with such contradictions and they ignore them completely.

Take gun control for example. The left clearly despises firearms when they are found in the hands of the public at large. They claim that it is because they only wish to protect children. Unfortunately, that drive to protect the helpless does not extend to the womb in which the most helpless of all resides. Another example would be protesting the death penalty. Many of the left vehemently protest the death penalty believing it to be a barbaric and inhumane practice, but many of these same people also believe that an unborn infant is nothing more than an unsolved problem.

The solution is for the mother to have an abortion to kill the child in order to free that mother from the horrible burden of parenthood. Excuse me, but which position seems to be the more barbaric? One in which a person who has made choices that brought them to an execution or a mother who doesn't wish to be burdened with the result of her decision to engage in reproductive behavior and so kills an innocent in order to evade responsibility for her poor choices? Another contradiction can be found in the left's attitude towards the family.

On the one hand they say that they fully support the family while they work diligently to undermine and destroy it through socialist/progressive policies. Gay marriage, the celebration of single parent mothers, and contempt for Christianity have all conspired to destroy the American family. And while we are speaking of gay marriage, that brings to light yet another contradiction. That of science.

The left does not believe that science should do its job and report its conclusions fairly and objectively. At least, not if those conclusions undermine their political positions. For example, if a climatologist performs a study at the U.N. and concludes that the Earth is heading for catastrophic temperature rise that will destroy all life on Earth if the public isn't taxed to death to stop it, then he is lauded as a brave hero of science and has once again confirmed that global warming will be the end of us all.

On the other hand, if a scientist performs a study and adheres to all ethical standards and concludes that the children of gay and lesbian parents will grow to be disproportionately gay and lesbian at rates many times those of straight parents, why then he must be a charlatan who only seeks to destroy the social fabric of utopia and they launch campaigns to destroy his academic reputation and to force the university to terminate him for his temerity. Such has been the case for any scientist who publishes data that contradicts the left's carefully contrived deceptions and that brings us to yet another contradiction, the contradiction of integrity.

One of the most key concepts of mankind is the concept of integrity. The ancient Greeks called it sophrosyne. The word denotes a kind of purity or middle path between extremes. Conversely, the compromise of it denotes corruption and perversion. If you wish a graphical model then I give you the image of a double edged sword. One side is sharp and gleaming, the other side is dull and tarnished and taken together they represent the two concepts in constant and perpetual opposition as they struggle for dominance of the blade's surface. The battle between good and evil within a man's heart is exactly like the battle between integrity and corruption on the blade, but that is a point for another day.

From the concept of integrity we obtain concepts such as the truth, honesty, fidelity, loyalty, and honor. All concepts universally despised by the left. As evidence of this I give you the corruption of scientific data with regard to DDT and global warming. I am willing to bet you that you didn't know that none of the raptor studies which found the thinning of egg shells have ever been replicated. In fact, raptor populations were in decline before DDT was even introduced. Further, not a single case of cancer has ever been attributed to DDT. In fact, one professor would take a bottle of DDT at the beginning of every semester and drink a tablespoon of it and then go on with his lecture and he did that for years.

The left fabricated the dangers of DDT and they got it banned because they lied to the Federal judiciary, the politicians, and to the American people and as a result of those lies 50 million people have died in Africa because they couldn't obtain DDT because the left used scare mongering tactics to get it banned and to elevate their environmental agenda. The Eco left has also heaped praise upon the Khmer Rouge as exposed on this very blog in the red text displayed in the left column that I keep up to identify these people for who they are. There is blood on the left's hands. In fact, the left loves to keep it's hands bloody.

The left claims that they support all children and they have said that the children are our future so many times that it has become cliché. Yet they support Planned Parenthood which apparently still has on it's agenda (if the acceptance of racist donations in the recent past is any indication) the destruction of the black race through the silent genocide of abortion because it still views them as "weeds within the garden of humanity."

That last was a direct quote from leftist heroine Margaret Sanger who initiated Planned Parenthood's Negro project and recruited black pastors to calm them and to divert their attention should they ever discover her true intent. In truth, she was pursuing a program of eugenics coupled with a Darwinian socialism which was strongly supported by her lover H.G. Wells who was apparently so good of a lover that she allowed her son to die of neglect. She later admitted that she wasn't really a good mother anyway.

Do you ever hear any words about any of this originating from the left? Not a peep, because they don't want you to know the truth. What about today? What have you heard about Benghazi and the deaths of four Americans? What questions did Hillary have to answer? What was reported in the media? It's damned hard to be an investigative reporter when you are carrying the Democrat's water and covering up their incompetence. Where is the respect for integrity in that instance? Didn't the Federal government lie to the American people for weeks on end saying that it was because of some video nobody had ever seen? Isn't there a political prisoner right now because of this? So much for telling the truth and personal integrity.

The left doesn't truly believe in anything, but power. To them, gaining political power is better than an orgasm. Why do you think that these people just love to control your life? They like to tell you what you can eat. How much salt you can use. How much you can drink. Where and when you can smoke. How you will raise your children. And the list goes on and on and on sliding evermore towards granular control of your life and your children. According to the left you may not have a weapon to defend your family. That's really dangerous! The poor child will eventually be the victim of that weapon. No, it must be removed and if you resist you must be arrested and your children taken from your demented and perverse family and raised by the kind and loving State. Zero tolerance, you understand? Don't interfere with utopia.

A false utopia comprised of fanatical zealots who believe that they know everything and you know nothing. Perfection in the mind of the left. Yet they say that they believe in freedom. If true, then freedom must have a very different definition in their minds. That is particularly true for the freedom of expression if you have a different political agenda.

In colleges and universities across the U.S. students rail against any suppression of the first amendment. Unless of course that expression pertains to the support of conservatism or the Republican Party or of Israel. Then they classify it as hate speech and shout down whoever is speaking. Apparently they have never heard the old axiom that one should beware the sound of one hand clapping. This attitude also extends to any science that conflicts with their political position as mentioned previously.

The revelation of the emails from the department servers at the Climate Research Unit (CRU) brought some interesting events into the light. The emails revealed an organized effort to suppress the work of other scientists whose work contradicted their global warming dogma and they sought to ruin both their professional reputations and to prevent the publication of their opposing research. Further, it was also revealed that the scientists of the CRU had falsified their data to reach a pre-determined outcome. This wasn't the first time that such a thing had occurred. The exact same thing had happened with DDT in the 1960's and '70's.

The trail of leftist lies, obfuscations, and dirty tricks goes back to the Jacobin Revolution in France. Do you think that any of the people who believe in a leftist agenda are even aware of that? Not hardly. Knowledge of the origins of their political ideology and of leftist history would draw back the curtain and reveal a great many ugly truths. In fact, the foot soldiers of the left are programmed to not seek the truth and to attack anyone who tries to reveal it to them.

Have you ever read the comments on conservative blogs from the mind numbed zealots of the left? It is little more than ad holmium attacks, aspersions of the blog owner's character, and arrogant rants about how the left is superior both intellectually and morally. In other words, it is complete bullshit. Seldom does any of them ever offer a reasoned point or counterpoint. Despite this they really do believe that their ideology is unassailable by both logic and reason.

That is why you cannot debate these people. They simply will not hear you because they do not care for logic or reason. They only care about emotions and how they feel. This is the only way that they could possibly live with the ridiculous ideology that they believe in. It has become their religion and to deviate from leftist ideology is a sin of the highest order.

I could come up with a pithy quote from G.K. Chesterton, but why bother? Conservatives would agree and the left would just ignore it. Say what they want, the faction that does think for itself, is educated on the issues, and actually does care about people are those who believe in conservatism. We challenge ourselves every day. We examine our intellectual foundation for cracks. We examine our faith and the underpinnings of it. We think for ourselves and make informed decisions about public issues. The exact thing that the left claims to do, but doesn't. As I have said, an ideology of contradictions that only a fool would believe and conservatives are no fools.
