I recently became aware of the unreasoning and vicious attack on Sarah Palin and her family, to include her son, Trig. You see, the Wonkette, a far left and rabidly anticonservative blog, decided to run a story on Trig's third birthday with the intent of excoriating both Trig and his mother. In case you were unaware, Trig is a Down's syndrome child. Many on the left believes that he is unfit to live and that he will become a useless eater as the good folks at the Hadamar clinic used to say. Hence their former open support of eugenics, and closed support of it now, since it has fallen out of favor. The truth is that Down's syndrome children are a gift. They teach us that the world is a truly wonderful place and that happiness can always be had, even in the darkest of times. But try telling that to the abortion minded left who view such children as a burden at best, and a punishment at worst.

So Mr. Jack Stuef had this to say in the Wonkette:

"That strange man yelling unintelligibly at Sarah Palin? He’s merely a lowly shepherd proclaiming the birth of our savior. Today is the day we come together to celebrate the snowbilly grifter’s magical journey from Texas to Alaska to deliver to the America the great gentleman scholar Trig Palin. Is Palin his true mother? Or was Bristol? (And why is it that nobody questions who the father is? Because, either way, Todd definitely did it.) It doesn’t matter. What matters is that we are privileged to live in a time when we can witness the greatest prop in world political history."

Way to go Jack! Great insults! Vicious, condescending, arrogant, and the implied incest on Bristol...wow! I don't know what rock this piss poor excuse for a human being crawled out from under, but Stuef is a bottom feeder for sure. I cannot imagine what nightmarish set of circumstances produced this waste of humanity, but it must have been ugly. The best way to break the mother is to attack the child and Stuef goes for the jugular. He insults Palin's husband, her daughter Bristol, and her son trig all in one paragraph while implying that Todd Palin screwed his own daughter. Frankly, I am surprised that he omitted insulting Palin's other daughter in that paragraph.

Of course, Stuef can't leave it alone from there. He goes on to target Trig yet again when he ridicules him by saying:

"What’s he dreaming about? Nothing. He’s retarded."

That is leftist compassion and tolerance for you. Ridicule a three year old disabled child. When the Wonkette published this sickening and disgusting diatribe, I imagine that they drooled and snickered at the poisoned barbs that they had prepared. Like hyenas circling their wounded prey, they gleefully posted Mr. Stuef's work as a masterpiece of leftist thought. But then, it all went horribly wrong.

They had only intended for the left to get a chuckle out of their demented attack on a disabled three year old child and his mother. But the word got out to the sane in the nation and they took umbrage at the lack of humanity demonstrated by the Wonkette and by Mr. Stuef in particular. Then they began to contact the Wonkette's advertisers and alert them to the sick and twisted ramblings of the diseased minds that they supported with their advertising budgets. The result? Advertisers began dropping the Wonkette like a hot, toxic potato. Then news organizations began to ask the Wonkette uncomfortable questions while the advertisers informed the Wonkette that its services were no longer required. This prompted the following reply from the Wonkette when Papa John's Pizza departed:

"Homophobic Papa John's. Why does every shitty pizza chain support wingnut extremists? (oh, right...)" Tweeted by the Wonkette

But as pressure built on the Wonkette and more advertisers departed, an apology emerged:

"A post on this page satirizing Sarah Palin using her baby as a political prop was very badly done and sounded like the author was mocking the child and not just Sarah Palin/Sarah Palin’s followers."

Sounded like mocking the child? You mean to tell me that saying "What’s he dreaming about? Nothing. He’s retarded" was supposed to be an insult to his mother and her supporters rather than an attack on a disabled child? Why don't you fess up and just admit that you were indeed mocking a disabled three year old? Oh, that's right...that would mean that you're all assholes. Can't have that can we? But the pressure soon prompted another apology by the editors of the Wonkette:

"The writer, Jack Stuef, has apologized for it. And we have decided to remove the post as requested by some people who have nothing to do with Sarah Palin, but who do have an interest in the cause of special needs children. We apologize for the poor comedic judgment."

Of course, the Alaska Dispatch reports that the Wonkette apologized tongue in cheek:

"After some advertisers, like Papa John's and Huggies, began pulling ads from the outlet, Wonkette added an update to the post apologizing for using the word "retarded" there and expressing delineated regret. A subsequent email from Wonkette's editor to AdAge expressed more facetious regret and reiterated at length the publication's call for Sarah Palin to no longer "use her special-needs child as a crass political prop."

The apology of Jack Stuef came after his ass was chewed for losing revenues:

"I regret this post and using the word “retarded” in a reference to Sarah Palin’s child. It’s not nice, and is not necessary, but I take responsibility for writing it. For those who came and are offended by this post: I’m sorry, of course. But I stand by my criticism of Sarah Palin using her child as a political prop."

Mr. Stuef takes responsibility for his writing? Unless he is insane, and the jury is still out on that one, he kind of has to take responsibility for his own writing. He wrote it. As for him being sorry, I suspect that he is only sorry about having been caught at such a twisted affair. As for the loss of advertising, as of now the Wonkette displays none.

A check of the Wonkette today revealed no advertisers. Either nobody wishes to advertise on that site due to its toxicity or the Wonkette is hiding its supporters until such time as all of this blows over. Hope they have some cash on hand to support operations, otherwise they all may just be out of a job. While I suppose that they could blame their loss of employment on the economy, the truth is that their own hatred brought them down.

Hatred of conservatives, hatred of the Republicans, hatred Sarah Palin and her son Trig, and yes, even hatred of themselves. Hatred is a consumer. It eats the mind, it eats the body, and it eats the soul and leaves behind only slag. That is the left today and it is who they are and what they represent. No longer happy or even totally human they are like golem from Lord of the Rings, only a shadow of what a man or a woman once was.

The ugly and vile things they say about their enemies, and they are legion, is only a reflection of their own souls and inner torment. In a sense, they are living their Hell right here on Earth and every so often, they prove it like the Wonkette just did.

Man's Search For Meaning and the American Dilemma

I read a book a few years ago entitled "Man's Search for Meaning," written by Victor Frankl. I consider the work to be vital in understanding one's own motives and in charting a course for your life in the darkest of times. Frankl was a survivor of the Nazi death camps that ended so many lives. He witnessed men who simply gave up and laid their burdens down and waited for death in exhaustion and despair. That is an extreme example of a pervasive problem in the United States, and I believe in the rest of the world.

What binds any community together is a shared system of values. Some are codified into law, while others are held important and incorporated into the communities morality as culture. But make no mistake, it is the shared values of you and your neighbors that create and sustain your community. I and others have often assailed multiculturalism as an evil. I have even termed it a societal acid because it breaks down and destroys those shared values. But the true danger of multiculturalism and leftist hedonism is that they destroy the shared values that bind the community together. This cuts away the roots of the citizens, sending them downstream to an uncertain future by default.

Once these bonds are severed, there is no longer any connection between you and your neighbors. You are no longer a community standing together as one, but merely a collection of individuals. Think about that for a second and consider the implications of that statement.

It means that the fundamental building blocks of the state are no longer in position removing the foundations of the State and Federal governments. Thus the citizen is removed from participation in the state toward...what? In such a system, strength can only be found in numbers and that means the collective with government as your master. That is the ultimate end of multiculturalism and political correctness.

Multiculturalism destroys the bonds between you and your fellow citizens while the concept of political correctness modifies your thinking towards others, more particularly, toward the perversity of the damage done by multiculturalism. Thus it was Angela Merkel who sounded the alarm when she finally realized what she had inadvertently done to Germany.

Ms. Merkel is a leftist by any definition of that term. She promoted multiculturalism along with the rest of the left, but when she stood back and examined what she had helped to bring about, she was astonished. The foreigners that she imported into Germany had not become German. They retained their originating customs, language, and culture. Worse, these immigrants were demanding that the Germans modify their own culture and traditions to make life more comfortable for the immigrants. It was only then that Ms. Merkel realized the truth, she had not imported new German citizens, but had instead invited foreign colonials to German soil, and that is the new colonialism that the world is currently experiencing.

Where once the West colonized other parts of the world, the world is now returning the favor. Instead of assimilating into the culture of Britain, Germany, America, and others, these new imports bring their own language, culture, and traditions into the West with the intent of overwriting them. The beginnings of the State of Texas is instructive in how this process is destructive to the native culture. This is because the Americans who settled in Texas refused to give up their native customs and language. This resulted in a revolt, the last stand at the Alamo, and eventually independence for Texas from Mexico. If the Western culture were healthy, there would be little to be concerned about, but the left has poisoned our own societal bonds leaving us vulnerable to outside influence without regard to a value judgment toward the foreign cultures.

From mothers applying hot pink nail polish to their son's toe nails to metro sexual men, the left has done horrific damage to the culture of the West. The West abhors real men and prefers the painted Nancy boys of Queer Eye for the Strait Guy. To date, the average college campus has only 35% males compared to 65% females in the student bodies. This means that college educated women will either have to share college educated men or settle for a lesser educated male for their mate. Further, this sets the stage for other sweeping changes in American society.

First, the lack of qualified males will force a transition from the current patriarchal society to a matriarchal one. Women will dominate business, government, and finance. The military will also be affected in that military commanders will be primarily female, and combat arms will no longer exclude women from leadership positions because there will not be enough qualified men to take those roles. Women will also dominate the sciences and medicine. The cost? Males will be relegated to subservience effectively reversing the gender roles.

When the women were told to go home from the factories after World War II, they didn't. They stayed in the work place and demanded equal pay for equal work. That resulted in the women's movement, but in any society you cannot get something for nothing. Who paid for women's equality in the work place? Children, men, and even the women themselves.

All of this is important because it confuses who we are by muddying the waters and obfuscating our vision. Because we cannot see ourselves in contrast with others we become lost as to who we are as a people, as a man or woman, and as a citizen. It is that loss that Frankl sought to correct in his book. What is the purpose of our life? Where do I go? What do I do? What is important?

All easily answered if you clearly understand who you are and what you believe, but when everything is in question, how do you answer them? Young adults walk the streets with metal embedded in their faces and bodies, tattoos on arms, backs, and abdomens, and some even have piercings through their noses like savages. Worse, Christianity is on the decline while paganism and witchcraft is on the ascendant.

Virtue, justice, piety, and the greater good have all been sacrificed in the West to allow the personal destruction of the individual by whatever means he or she finds best. This is the reason that I believe that America specifically, and the West in general, are on life support. Without a moral compass, of what value is piety? Without a sense of personal pride and responsibility, of what value is virtue? Without a connection to your fellows, of what value is justice? Thus it becomes important to define ourselves before we can address the problems of our society, and in the disjointed MTV culture of today that is a near impossible task.

Had Obama ran for President fifty years ago he would never have become President. While it is true that racism would have had a negative impact on his candidacy, by setting that aside the true picture becomes clearer. Obama's associations with domestic and foreign terrorists, black liberation theology, his habit of throwing law enforcement and his own family under the bus, and his Marxist ideology would all have spelled the end for him. How then did he manage to become President in this day and age?

The American morality is now only a nebulous shadow of what it once was. Fifty years ago, the American public would have demanded answers to hard questions, today we buy the rhetoric and label anyone who complains about not knowing the truth about him as being haters and racists. This change did not come overnight, it was a slow encroachment on traditional values over time. Slowly creeping toward more and more excess. Yesterday, we asked what was the harm? Today, we have that answer, but we no longer even remember the question.

How much longer will it be until we no longer even care for our own children? We set them before TV sets and buy them video games in order to not be bothered with them, allow the schools to inculcate social values into them, and then boot them out of the house when they are eighteen. There are even some parents who pay more attention to the family dog than they do to their own children. How much longer will it be before we abandon having children altogether, preferring to invest all of our attention in ourselves?

As I said, these changes did not occur overnight, but they are cumulative and the tendency is toward sweeping away traditional society. The results of such a thing are predictable. I have watched society change much in the brief time that I have lived and I expect there will be more profound changes ahead before I die. What we need to decide is who we are, what we value, and what we will defend. Only then can we turn our attention to the continued degradation of our respective societies.

Arrogance and the Left

Did you ever notice how the left is largely like a flock of birds? They swoop in, crap all over everything, and then leave. If you have a conservative blog, chances are that you have experienced this phenomenon yourself and now moderate your comments. Unfortunately, the arrogance of the left does not end there. They believe that they are the only ones who possess the answers for societies ills.

Is there a man incarcerated for murder? Send him for a weekend furlough! Got a problem with your doctor? No worries, we will federalize healthcare! Poor and in need of a job? We will beggar the rich and give their hard earned money to you! Can't afford your rent? We will rent control all of the apartments in town! Of course, these measures bring about consequences.

For example, when the left loosed Willie Horton from prison he traveled to another state and raped and murdered a woman as her husband watched. Obamacare was passed by the Congress and signed into law by the President and absolutely nobody knew what was in the bill that was signed into law. In fact, people are still trying to figure out what is in the bill. I guess that's why Nancy Pelosi was grinning like a Cheshire cat when she was strutting through the crowd with that giant gavel as she was the one who intoned "...you will know what is in the bill when we pass the bill." Then there is rent control, that one measure has made the cost of living so high wherever it has been enacted that the poor can no longer afford to live in those jurisdictions. This is because nobody will build an apartment complex without setting the rent high enough to last for 20 to 25 years in a rent controlled town because they know that they will be forbidden to ever raise the rent on the current tenants. Then there is Gitmo.

Guantanamo base, also known affectionately as Gitmo, was ordered closed by the end of the first year of President Obama's term. After signing the order to close the facility, he next moved on to delaying the trial of Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri while the process of military tribunals was reviewed by the White House. When a military judge refused to halt the proceedings against al-Nashiri, Obama ordered that the charges be dropped against him, preventing the families of the slain sailors from receiving justice.

The President's and Attorney General's motive for shutting down Gitmo and halting the military tribunals was so that they could extend the Constitutional protections to the terrorist combatants held at Gitmo. Today, if a terrorist is taken captive in the field the military unit capturing him MUST read the terrorist his Miranda rights prior to any questioning. Thus the United States of America no longer has a military, but a very large and well armed police force.

The left's steadfast work in dismantling our national intelligence efforts, stymieing the efforts to secure our borders, and arming and defending our enemies abroad places the United States in greater danger than we were in prior to September 11th. Further, the steadfast reluctance to deal with international terrorism has only emboldened our enemies worldwide.

The Obama administration has provided arms to Mexican drug cartels that resulted in the murder of U.S. law enforcement personnel and has armed and given air cover to elements of Al Qaeda in Libya while the administration belittles and castigates Israel. While the President has said that he wishes to protect the citizens of Libya from a government that is killing them, that sentiment holds little value given that the U.S. has ceased all combat operations in Libya. Then there is the story coming out of Justice.

Eric Holder recently held a press conference where he blatantly said that he knows better than the Congress how to handle terror detainees. Attorney General Holder even goes so far as to claim victory in the trial of Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani who was found innocent on 280 criminal charges and only convicted on ONE count in civilian court. One. The Department of Justice barely squeaks by in court by the skin of their teeth and Holder is extolling that case? It would seem that we are all living through an episode of the Twilight Zone.

Unfortunately for the deluded Mr. Holder, the Congress of the United States has firmly taken the position that there is no room for terror detainees on U.S. soil. Despite leftist arrogance and hubris, Gitmo will remain open and military tribunals are green lighted. With the fact that Obama kept water boarding for use on future detainees, we are right back to where George W. Bush was regarding terrorism. Chalk up one for common sense. While Michael Moore and people like Sean Penn grind their teeth in frustration regarding these setbacks, their arrogance has not diminished one whit.

They still attack Bush, they still attack Republicans and brand them as Nazis, they still plot to destroy the American economy so that they can institute a Marxist regime. In case you were unaware, the leftist leadership was recorded plotting to bring down Chase Bank by encouraging holders of Chase paper to not pay their mortgage payment. The crowd tittered as the scope of such a thing occurring became apparent. I don't know about you, but I never found starving people living in a shanty town amusing. A copy of the tape has been provided to Chase and the U.S. Justice department and is the clearest example of economic terrorism I know.

The left has never abandoned its desire for death and destruction. They will climb atop the bodies of those who oppose them and establish their personal utopia on your corpse. From the 25 or so million deaths envisioned by Bill Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dorn back in the Sixties to the suffering of Americans in camps due to their designs to destroy the American economy, they have not changed. They are only pissed that they have to hide it. As Van Jones put it, "I gave up the radical pose for the radical ends."

By submerging their agenda they can pretend to be whatever they wish. Gone are the long hair, beads, and tie dyed shirts in favor of the clean cut business suit, but the ideology is still the same because their arrogance demands that it not change. They are always right after all.

This is why it is okay to forge scientific data, why it is perfectly fine to destroy the careers of those who would point out the fraud, and why they demonize anybody who is outside of their ideology and would dare to oppose them. For those who lose employment, suffer personal injury due to the attack of union thugs, or who suffer a loss of privacy or freedom, the left greets such victims with gales of laughter as evidenced by the laughter caught on tape regarding the suffering brought on by the economic terrorism described earlier.

The left can do no wrong, regardless of how many dead voters they have to use to win an election, and they are always right. If you don't believe them then simply ask them and they will be happy to tell you. Try to pin them down on any wrong doing and they will never admit culpability, but will happily try to shift the blame to a political enemy.

The smell of leftist arrogance is the acrid smell of bird droppings, and if you are not careful, the left will cover you in it.

A Brief Respite

I will be taking a brief respite from blogging until either Tuesday or Wednesday in order to catch up with my studies. I have an two exams Monday the 4th followed by a paper due on Tuesday. Consequently, my time is already spoken for. I hope that my readers will understand and I will be back with another article by Wednesday at the latest.
