Unbelievable

I have remained silent on a number of issues of late. From the Japanese tragedy to the Libyan civil war and the American response. I thought that I would pull back and take a bird's eye view of the situation in the Middle East and I am bitterly disappointed with President Obama's performance. Aside from his Marxist policies and the harm that they have done to the nation, his foreign policy is even worse.

From his world apology tours for the arrogance and tyranny of the United States to going abroad and whoring the office of the President to the IOC in order to bring the summer Olympics to Chicago and failing, President Obama has been a disaster as a foreign policy President. In the recent case of Egypt, he remained silent and voiced no opinion until he was pushed into it by his critics and by the time he piped up, it was far too late to have any effect. To make matters worse, he sided with both the protestors and the Mubarak regime leaving both faction confused as to the American position. While Obama was waffling, the Egyptians were waiting for clear and decisive leadership and it did not come.

With Libya, Obama made the U.S. position about as clear as mud when he did another soft shoe routine regarding Gaddafi's attack on civilians. Obama made some fairly decent threats, but he did nothing to back them up. He then left any possible military action up to the world governments resulting in a paralysis of action until Europe and NATO stepped in to lead by default. The President did commit our military to enforcing a no-fly zone, but only for a matter of weeks and then American forces would withdraw resulting in a less than effectual application of force if the objective was indeed to spare civilian lives.

The end result? Gaddafi is still killing civilians, but now he is pissed off at both Europe and the United States and may once again turn to terrorism and the training of terrorists. Thank you Mr. President and Secretary Clinton for your astonishing lack of leadership and insight. About the only thing that could be worse is if the White House left the nuclear football at Denny's by mistake back in Chicago. Hope and change may make for a good sound bite, but it blows like the North wind for foreign policy.

The President who would be King did not even have the common courtesy to seek the approval of the Congress before he launched his foreign policy nightmare. Needless to say, both Republicans and Democrats were outraged. The White House's reaction to the Congressional criticism? Screw 'em, not in those words exactly, but the meaning was nevertheless clear. Hope and change can be a bit arrogant I suppose.

But then look who we have at the helm, because Barrack Obama sure as hell is not making the decisions. A man that voted "present" the vast majority of the time he was a legislator does not do an about face and take up the reins of leadership. The President is listening to the likes of Richard Trumka, Andy Stern, George Soros, and the ever popular absentee slum lord, Valerie Jarret. But shhhh...the American people and the world aren't supposed to know that our President is just an empty suit. Hell, the Obama administration does not even know when the Commander and Chief is due back and accidentally locked him out of the White House, leaving the President to run around checking doors to see if he could find an open one. The situation was funny, but it was also sad because it spoke volumes about the efficiency of the administration.

With his current record and list of failures, I have no doubt that President Obama will go down in history as the most worthless President in the history of the United States. Of course, this will finally improve Bill Clinton's legacy tremendously. No longer will he be remembered for his leavings on a blue dress as the nation will have the piss poor example of President Obama to ruminate over. What's even worse is that we did this to ourselves.

Sure the main stream media foisted that huckster on us, sure they invented stories to divert attention away from Obama's shocking lack of qualifications, sure they glossed over the racist remarks of Joe Biden and Harry Reid in order to place the Democrats in the best possible light, and they did create a secret cabal designed to cripple the Republicans while promoting the Democrats and their policies. In fact, I daresay that the news media has failed us all in an inglorious manner. Let us pray that they have expended the last of their trust between themselves and the citizens of the Republic. Else we may need to pursue them in order to hold them accountable for their devious actions.

But despite the propaganda foisted on the American people, the miniscule stories about Obama's racist minister, his terrorist connections, his lack of executive qualifications, his lies about knowing Bill Ayers despite having begun his political career in his home, and the lies about having absolutely no connection to ACORN despite having trained them and representing them in their suit against City Mortgage was not enough to instill doubt in the minds of the electorate.

Nope, we bought his con about hope and change and "yes, we can," hook, line, and stinker. Hell, even his wife gave us a clue about themselves when she declared during the campaign that for the first time in her life, she was proud of her country. Did anybody care? Apparently not. So now we have an idiot in the Oval Office playing football with the Australian Prime Minister and it looks like he's even failing doing that. I guess there is a reason that he is always at the golf course.

That brings me to my final point, the world is going to Hell in a hand basket and American leadership is absent. During the Gulf spill there was no leadership. During the debate on healthcare there was no leadership and Obama even admitted that he didn't know what was in the bill anymore than the American citizens, when Tunisia erupted and began the political chain reaction in the Middle East Obama was again absent. It was only when Libya began killing its own citizens in earnest that Obama was forced into action because the Europeans and NATO took the reins and begged for American support.

Did Obama go to the U.S. Congress and tell them what he was going to do? No. Did the President address the nation and tell us why military action was necessary? No. He just sent a fleet to the Mediterranean and fired Tomahawk missiles into Libya. If George Bush was a cowboy for Afghanistan and Iraq and he DID go to Congress and tell them what he wanted to do and got their support and also told the American people what he wanted to do and why it was necessary, what does that make Obama who did neither of these things?

Leadership is about getting out in front and taking charge. A leader does not wait to see which way the wind is blowing before making a decision, he assess the situation and then formulates a plan to deal with it and initiates it. President Obama does not do that. He dithers. He wrings his hands and moans about which course of action he should take while he presumably begs Andy Stern and Richard Trumka for advice.

Regardless of how that idiot makes decisions, it is blatantly obvious that the world is burning and Obama is an absent voice on the world's stage. Imagine the consequences if Obama had been President during other periods of history. What if he had occupied the Oval Office during World War II? Or during the Cuban missile crises? How would voting "present" on those issues have turned out?

Leaders are not born they are made, but one must possess the necessary requirements for the forging. Obama is a good bullshit artist, but as a national leader all he has produced is one gigantic failure after another and even Jimmy Carter was not as bad as he is and apparently even Chris Mathews thinks so when he slipped and said Carter's name instead of Obama's.

With the winds of revolution continuing to spread throughout the Middle East, we are a long ways from shore on the ocean of non-existent foreign policy. But remember, we did this to ourselves. Votes have consequences and when they are misused dire consequences result. That is a lesson that we should never forget because we are living through the results of such a situation today. With Obama and his people working to dismantle our Intel agencies, weakening our border security, and dismantling our national security, pray that we do not come under attack here at home. Because the last thing that you want to do is hang your personal survival on that jackass.

Baffle 'em With Bulls#$*

It never ceases to amaze me that the Democrats always resort to bullshit when they are on the losing side. Don't get me wrong, I expect them to lie like a rug on the floor, but what astounds me is that the American public buys this crap hook, line, and sinker. Take a recent speech by Joe "Gaffe" Biden when he said,

"But it's amazing how these Republicans, the right wing of this party – whose philosophy threw us into this godawful hole we're in, gave us the tremendous deficit we've inherited – that they're now using the very economic condition they have created to blame the victim – whether it's organized labor or ordinary middle-class working men and women..."

In order to believe his verbal diarrhea, we must accept these facts:

1. That the Republicans outspent the Bush administration by a factor of four
2. That the Democrats made a herculean effort to stop this spending
3. That the Republicans blamed the Democrats for the Republicans faults
4. That the debt ceiling would be much lower had the Democrats been at the helm

Is the Vice President challenged by media to defend his ridiculous assertions? No. Will either Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid challenge Biden's facts or call him on his lack of integrity? No. Why? Because it is time to baffle the American public with bullshit, that's why.

The Democrats were handed their own asses last November and the message from the American public was clear: STOP SPENDING! The reason why was because the Democrats controlled the Senate and the House of Representatives as well as the White House. In fact, the Democrats have had control of the legislative bodies since 2006. Since Congress has total control of the purse strings and the Democrats had total control of the budget, they could have stopped this insanity at anytime since 2006.

While President Bush was in office the Democrats whined incessantly about out of control spending and the national debt. However, when President Obama stepped into office two years ago the Democrats did not slow or cut spending, they accelerated it. To the tune of spending four times the amount of money that President Bush spent. They raised the debt ceiling to 96% of the national GDP. What does that mean? Here is an analogy to put that 96% in perspective:

Imagine that you are an attorney and you make $175,000 a year. But your lifestyle demands certain privileges and you spend far more than you make. In fact, you spend every penny of the $175,000 dollars you make and you borrow 96% of what everybody else in your city makes in order to support your lifestyle. Thus it is impossible that you will EVER pay back what you have borrowed because you can never get ahead of the interest to begin paying on the principal even if you were to live forever. In fact, the interest alone exceeds what you can make.

That is where the Federal government is right now and we are approaching 100% of the GDP. For the first time in American history we are living large and laying the bills on our unborn offspring and grandchildren and what is worse is that they will never be able to pay off this staggering debt. The debt is so large now that even Atlas would falter under its burden.

The recent recall of Republican Mayor Carlos Alverez confirms that the voters will not allow taxes to be increased to pay for big government programs any longer. With 90% of voters concurring that Alverez had to go, the message is clear: tax and spend is dead. Then why is Biden bullshitting the public once again?

Because the Democrats have nothing. No plans to cut deficit spending that they initiated, no plans to extinguish the bonfires at the treasury that they ignited, and no intention of telling the American people the truth about who is really responsible for the financial nightmare that were are now living. So they pull out the old vaudeville act and begin a soft shoe dance routine to shift the blame and the focus from themselves.

I realized in 2006 what was coming. The Democrats in office now are the same Democrats that taxed and spent like it was going out of style in the '70s until they were stopped by Ronald Reagan. The lies change, but the habits never do. The Democrats are pro-family until it is time to support abortions. The Democrats are anti-spending, until they have control of the purse strings and spend the nation into oblivion. The Democrats are for peace, until there is a Democrat in the White House and the "no blood for oil" protestors are recalled and warehoused. The Democrats are for family values and personal integrity for Republicans, not so much for themselves. Therefore it comes as no surprise that Biden blames the Republicans for the Democrats malfeasance. It is not even so hard to believe that Biden lacks the integrity to tell the truth considering that he is a plagiarist, for what is plagiarism but stealing someone else's ideas and then presenting them as your own under false pretenses? Rock solid character Mr. Vice President!

But for all of Biden's faults, and they are many, he is, but a symptom of the wider Democrat corpus. What kind of party allows such people to emerge? Truly, it is like an infected wound that oozes pus. Barney Frank allowed his lover to set up a whore house in his home. Rod Blagojevich selling Senate seats in Illinois. Nancy Pelosi lying, hiding corruption, and giving special deals to her family. Harry Reid and his shady business dealings and the threatening of a Nevada newspaper for opposing him. John Murtha, unindicted co-conspirator in an FBI investigation into corruption. William Jefferson, who took $100,000 dollar bribe and then the Democrats tried to excoriate the FBI for searching the Congressman's office on Capitol Hill. Senator Frank Dodd, who took advantage of sweetheart mortgage loans and then lied about them. Representative Charles Rangel, who lied to the IRS and did not pay his taxes. Then there are the laws passed in secret that the public does not know about.

For example, the TARP bill repealed the welfare reform law that President Clinton signed returning America to the previous status of welfare extending from generation to generation until infinity. There was also 92 million dollars allocated to rum manufacturers in Puerto Rico. Millions more went to bogus congressional districts and not a soul in Congress can tell you where the money actually went or what it purchased. In short, the Democrats were responsible for Billions of dollars in fraud secondary to legislation that was rushed through in the dead of night in order to hide the perfidy of the Democratic Party.

When you have a record like that, it is wise to bullshit the public. But for all of that and then some, John Q. Public is not even awake. He stirs a little, snorts loudly, and swats at flies that walk about on his face, but he is still asleep and that is why Biden can continue to lie his ass off with impunity. That is why the Democrats think that Alverez being booted out of office is funny, and why they put far more effort into bullshit than reform.

If the public were awake, they would not dare such an affront to your intelligence. But to tell the truth, I am rapidly losing patience with the Republicans as well. For far too long have they been in close proximity to that corruption and like a barrel of apples, one rotten apple can spoil the entire barrel. As evidence of this phenomenon I give you Representative Eric Cantor.

Where once he supported across the board spending cuts, he has backed off of that position in order play nice with the Democrats and their crushing debt. Worse, there are other Republicans just like him. That is the clarion call to the TEA parties. Citizens who are tired of the same old Washington rhetoric and bullshit and want real reform and real change in our nation's capitol.

Until we have that change, we are not going away. We will not be silent or intimidated and we will not stop hammering incompetent politicians who believe that our money grows on trees. We believe that government is the servant and not the master. That individualism is greater than the collective and that the government that governs least, governs best.

So bullshit if you will, but there is another election day coming around and you will pay dearly for your lunacy.

Theory vs. Reality Reprise

I once wrote an article entitled "Theory vs. Reality." The post was about the left's love of theory over its perception and acceptance of reality itself. Hence the phrase, "I reject your reality and substitute my own." While the concept of reality is variable on the left, on the right we tend to take the world as it is and not as we imagine it to be. For example, in the previous article I wrote about a young mother who had railed against slacker parents who did not give their all to their children. Her posts were full of passion and reason regarding that topic. However, in the real world, she allowed her child to die of starvation in his crib. There was plenty of food for the baby in the house. The family was not broke. But it seems that mom and dad had a fascination for Dungeons and Dragons online and couldn't be bothered with fixing a bottle for their child or changing their infant son. Therefore, the child died in his own waste of starvation. The law did have its say and both parents were sentenced appropriately. A pity that the world still waits for the retroactive abortion defense to felony child neglect. Theoretically, she would have made a good mother, but reality only rarely reflects theory.

In the real world we call such events psychotic breaks. For the psychotic, reality is his own creation and not the truth and he responds to "his" reality as if it were real. For the rest of us, psychosis is a mental illness and not a political ideology. If we were to track the left's mindset back to days of its formation we would find horrors. It was Robespierre who was the first community activist to head a government and his use of the guillotine is legendary. In fact, he was the victim of his own devices because he became so fearsome a figure that allowing him to live was not an option. The only difference between the French revolution and the American was our perspectives on humanity.

The French perceived man as a noble animal who possessed integrity and compassion for his fellows. They believed that such a man would always do the right thing because it was encoded in his DNA. The American take was far more realistic. We believed that man was greedy, stingy, and always sought to accumulate as much power as he can by whatever means that he can. To date, the French had had around fifteen governments and we have had only one. That is because our system of checks and balances works with reality rather than how we want reality to be.

Man is not noble by his very nature, but because he must defeat his own base drives in order to become noble it becomes an achievement worthy of praise. Nobility is not encoded in the human genome, but greed and self interest are. Two different perspectives on man and two very different results. Fifteen governments later the French are still trying to figure out where they went wrong. I heard somewhere that trying the same approach repeatedly and expecting different results was the very definition of madness, but to the "I reject your reality and substitute my own" crowd, it is a way of life. Thus have I arrived at Michael Savage's conclusion that liberalism is a mental disorder.

The left lives in a perpetual psychosis of an imagined reality where the world is all sunshine and butterflies. This also explains their shocking lack of integrity. For what is a lie when the entire reality is, but an illusion? Where can the truth be found in a dream? Thus does the dreamer retreat from the real world into the illusion of their own private psychosis. In this virtual reality all that is not of the left is evil. Republicans are evil, conservatives are evil, business and profit are evil, even traditional minorities are branded as evil if they dare to adhere to a differing ideology. In such a world, only the strongest emotions dominate and the negative emotions evoke the strongest response. There is no right or wrong, but only billions of shades of gray and therefore there is no such thing as perversity.

This is why the paragons of the left are people like Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Charlie Sheen, and Sean Penn. They embody the ugly ideology of the left in real life. Hollywood is so inundated with such people because tinsel town makes its living on fantasy. Why should we be surprised to find that those who make their living morphing from one reality to another would also be staunchly on the left? It is a natural fit.

The inherent problem with such a situation is that the fundamental dissonance between fantasy and reality causes the fantasy world to implode. This is because it must be fed by the labor of others and that is why the left has such a fascination with Marx, Lenin, and Mao. In a sense, these men created their meal tickets and provided them with a long term means of feeding their fantasies. But that is only half of the problem.

The other half is trying to get anything accomplished with these fools. Their fantasy does not allow for the introduction of reason or reality because these are intrusions that degrade their self imposed psychosis. This is why they will not acknowledge the truth, admit that they are wrong, or even work on social problems with a true intention of solving them. They believe that the poor can only be improved by making the rich poorer and using that wealth to improve the lives of the poor. Of course, this ignores the reality of some men having made poor decisions. Christ said that the poor you shall have with you always and I believe that he was being honest when he said that.

The left can be shocked out of its psychosis long enough to make decent decision if the shock is great enough. The last time that happened was September 11, 2001. They were wide awake for about two weeks and then slowly retreated back into their dream worlds. Even when the housing bubble burst and took down the commercial banking industry they did not return to reality. This is why bi-partisanship is a near impossibility.

This presents us with a difficult problem to solve. How do we accomplish anything with these people? The short answer is that you cannot. At least, not while they remain under the influence of their delusions. We have tried reason and it falls off of them like water down a duck's back. We have tried to bribe them with incentives and they take the advantages and return to their old ways. They care nothing for you or I or they would not have frozen out our representatives in Congress leaving us without a voice in our own government and forcing through legislation in secret in order to prevent our knowledge of their devious machinations.

There is only one way to beat them and that is to trip them up at every opportunity. If they make a claim, then demand objective proof. If they promote a policy then look for the unintended consequences and the costs and how these are going to be addressed. When government fails, look for the responsible legislator and hang him out to dry. Excoriate and ridicule their failures and those responsible for them. In other words, use Alinsky's rules for radicals against them so far as possible in order to retain your integrity.

It is a piss poor weapon that won't point both ways and it is high time that these folks got taste of their own poison. We won't convert them, but they are not the majority in the nation and the public does not know just how damaged these people are and how destructive to their personal liberty they have been. It is time to change that and to put the spotlight on the left and let them explain their own psychosis if they can.

** Please pray for Japan, there has been much suffering in that part of the world of late and Japan is the most recent victim of natural disaster. Keep a good thought for the folks of that part of the world.

Gone With The Wind

Marisol Valles Garcia was fired today. She was a twenty year old college student who was fed up with the drugs, violence, and murders in her town of Praxedis G. Guerrero, and so she offered to become the townships Chief of Police in order to take a stand and to enforce the law. Although she never had any experience in police work, she was a student at University studying criminology. The person that held the job before her was shot to death in July 2009 and nobody else really wanted the position. A year ago, little Marisol was hailed as the bravest woman in Mexico as she pinned on her badge. Today, she was fired because she was running for her life and there was no commentary on if she were doing it bravely or not.

Aside from the obvious reference to brave Sir Robin, I do believe that Marisol was indeed brave for stepping up to that position and offering to police her community. However, she was vastly under qualified and under skilled for such a job and her idealism overshadowed her sense of reality. Policing in Praxedis G. Guerrero is more akin to a combat tour in Iraq than the urbane setting of Mayberry.

At first, Marisol was fired up because she was going to change the world. She instituted a community policing scheme, adding a feel good touch to the force, but feeling good to drug runners is about murdering police officers. With the example of another young, female Chief of Police in a neighboring community being kidnapped and presumed murdered, I guess it finally hit her that she could end up in a pine box taking a dirt nap as well. So she ran.

This leaves the Mayor of Praxedis G. Guerrero as the chief law enforcement officer yet again, and I am certain that he is now a very nervous man considering that his own predecessor was murdered along with his son. The problem with the drug cartels is that there are two of them competing for lone road through the area which makes the town a no man's land for the poor bastards living there. Fear is a common companion for the residents and the police are just as afraid as the public, and with good reason. Thus, I arrive at the obvious conclusion:

Marisol never stood a snowballs chance in hell.

Not because she was young, not because of her gender, not because of her geographic location, and not because of her Mexican citizenship. She was doomed to failure because of her gross inexperience and that of her command. The sad truth is that none of them, not one, has been trained to deal with this kind of fight.

The law is nothing without the use of force to back it up. Consider, if there were no police to use force to bring the public into compliance then what would be the necessary end result? Anarchy, which is what you have right now in Praxedis G. Guerrero. If you have ever seen footage of combat operations in Iraq or Afghanistan you have a pretty good ides about policing in the border towns of Mexico right now.
Marisol Valles Garcia is a good looking and intelligent woman, but she is no combat soldier. Thus her community policing plans were doomed to failure as soon as she began. This is because she needs to think about taking and holding real estate, not making friends with the community. Unless and until she can establish the supremacy of the law in her home town, she is just spitting in the wind.

I have worked in similar situations and have even had a contract placed on my life for enforcing the drug laws. I know where Chief Valles has been because I walked a mile in her shoes. But I also had the benefit of training, my fellow officers were trained, and we knew the realities of the situation before we deployed on scene. We understood that we needed to dominate the area or we would be eaten alive. Marisol had the drive, but not the training and skill set to accomplish that feat and neither do her fellow officers.

I have given a lot of thought to the plight of Praxedis G. Guerrero and its citizens and wondered how I would have handled that responsibility. It is likely that there are moles within the department, it is likely that the drug cartels have an ongoing intelligence operation against the government and the police. It is also likely that they possess detailed files on members of the department, their families, and their daily habits. It is also very likely that they keep operatives active within the area that can be called on for fast strikes against targets of opportunity and last, but not least, they are far better equipped and trained than the local constabulary. Throw a rookie into that and all you get back is hamburger. Poor Marisol was walking into a buzz saw and didn't even know it.

The local police don't wear uniforms because the town is too poor to provide them. They use hand me down weapons from the Mexican military. They only have one patrol vehicle to patrol a community of 8,500 farmers and two drug cartels who are willing to kill anybody for access to the highway that runs through the jurisdiction. Face it, Praxedis G. Guerrero is on the ropes and about to go down for the count and nobody wants to do what needs to be done to solve the problem.

I know that because Chief Marisol Valles would never have been thrown to the wolves otherwise. They used her like toilet paper and then discarded her when she ran. You see, female police are popular in Mexico because the drug runners don't just shoot them in the face like they do the males. Oh sure, they do occasionally kidnap and kill a few to make a point, like the female Police Chief of the neighboring town, but that's rare. Sort of. Hence, young Marisol was looking to add more females to her department, but then the drug cartels finally told her to run or die and she ran. I don't blame her.

If she had known the truth about what she had been facing, had the skill set and training to do something about it and then ran, this would be a different story and I would be calling her a coward. But running for your life when you don't have the benefit of training, experience, and the skills to put them into use is survival and not cowardice. The town was desperate, she was young and idealistic and stepped up without knowing what she was getting into until it was too late. More officers of the law have died that way than enough and I won't blame her for avoiding that fate. She's young and has a small child and a husband. That is a lot to live for. What of the citizens of that community?

They have lived in fear before and they will again. Unless and until someone steps up who is trained, skilled, and experienced in the enforcement of law in high risk scenarios, but that is only half of the problem. The other half of the problem is that the government must have had enough and is willing to put an end to it. When that happens, the days of the drug cartels will be over because there will be no place to hide.

The United States is making the same mistakes that Mexico did and people along the American borders are living in fear. Drug cartels have set up shop on American soil and murder anybody that gets close regardless of their law enforcement affiliation. Murders, kidnapping, and drugs now run freely along the Southern border. When Bill Jordan was a border patrol officer back in the day, he said that gunfire along the border was a daily occurrence and that when it was heard it was assumed that a border patrol agent was delivering another lesson in American law enforcement to an offender. Today, Bill Jordon and his fellow border patrol officers would have been rounded up and imprisoned for their frequent use of force and that is why we are losing control of our Southern border.

I suggest that the case of Marisol Valles Garcia be examined by American citizens with great interest. Because the nightmare that she just left is about to become ours.

Something Wicked This Way Comes

Lately, I cannot shake the feeling that evil is stalking the Earth once again. I have been witness to chilling parallels that hearken back to the rise of the Nazis in the thirties, I have witnessed the near collapse of the world's economy, and I have seen nation after nation's government come under fire and be swept away. Insolvency threatens Portugal, Ireland, Spain, and Greece and the EU is spending itself into oblivion. Even the economic dynamo of Germany is strained. In the Western hemisphere things are little better.

In a moment of mass insanity we elected an effeminate Marxist to the highest office in the land because he was a good con man. Worse, we are in no better financial shape than Europe. In fact, I will go so far as to say that the Fed has nothing left if another financial catastrophe occurs. In that event, the entire U.S. economy will collapse like a house of cards and the economy of the world will rapidly follow. Worse, Islam stands at the threshold ready to finish the West as soon as the opportunity presents itself and Israel is pilloried by the international community for defending herself. The societal acid known as the leftist perspective has greatly weakened the infrastructure of Western ideology and this has allowed our enemies to close on us.

With the West so weakened, we are ill prepared to meet a worldwide conflict. We have neither the personnel nor the will for such a conflict nor do we have the money to finance any opposition. In other words, we are right where the left wishes us to be, at the verge of losing our superpower status and degenerating into a first or second world power. In fact, that process began when President Obama began his worldwide apology tour and denied that there was anything exceptional about America. But he was wrong.

America is exceptional. Our strength lies in our individuality and independence from government. Our nation was built by pioneers who struggled to build, expand, and to grow the United States of America. It was damned difficult and blood was shed in order create the nation that we reside in today, and while the men and women of yesterday were made of sterner stuff, the blood that flowed in their veins also flow in ours and we can take up the challenges that are coming and overcome them as did our forebears if we, but have the will to do so.

Collectivism is for the weak who have not the stomach to stand on their own two feet. Individualism is superior to any form of the collective because the individual must be rugged and determined if he is to be successful, but such an individual does not allow his less fortunate fellows to fall behind and that is at the crux of American exceptionalism. We believe in giving a man a hand up, not a hand out.

Even Ben Franklin knew that the poor should never be made comfortable in their circumstances. For if a man is comfortable he will not seek to better himself. The poor man's discomfort will prod him to improve his situation and he will become stronger as an individual and develop self worth by his accomplishments.

American compassion has helped to alleviate suffering all over the world. We have even deployed American troops to provide protection to the oppressed in order to give them relief from tyranny. It is ironic indeed that tyranny now rears it's ugly head on our shores once again. The Federal government remains out of control, the Democratic Party is desperately trying to drag us toward Marxism, and the American educational system destroys individuality and encourages multiculturalism and collectivism while it proselytizes our children into good little socialists. Worse, the left has been steadily attacking American faith as intolerant and hypocritical and they have greatly succeeded in accomplishing their aims, and as a result American morality is nearly non-existent. With TV shows like MTV's virtual child porn and the near daily self destruction of actors and actresses in Hollywood being only two recent examples of this trend.

The darkness that is currently spreading across the face of the world has been patient. It learned the last time it stood against the West and it seeks a re-match. The United Nations is just as ineffective and trifling as was its predecessor, the League of Nations, and will be of no help. Only one last thing stands in the way of what is coming, and that is the nations of the West.

Will we stand as one as we once did or will we fall? Is there any strength left in the West? What of the will? There are many questions and damned few answers. In truth, I have begun to doubt the heart of my fellow citizens. We sent a signal the past election, but Barney Frank and Harry Reid were re-elected. That tells me that there is a schism in the U.S. and that we are no longer united as a people because we are at cross purposes.

The heart and soul of a community, state, or nation is a unity of beliefs that form a common culture and that is precisely what multiculturalism attacks. If that cultural foundation no longer exists, then the nation will fail. Why do you think that the control of the media is such a contentious issue? It is because they wish to influence what you think and what you believe. If you don't believe that the media has any influence over you, then I suggest that you examine how Barrack Obama got elected to the highest office in the land. Look at the questions that were asked of Hillary Clinton and John McCain and compare them to the questions that were asked of Obama. Examine how stories were manipulated in order to put Obama in a good light via collusion in the media. You will be amazed at what you learn and there was even a documentary made discussing the role of the media in getting Obama into office.

Yet all is not lost. During the Korean war, America took a bloody nose from the Red Chinese and then we took it to them. By the end of the war the Chinese hordes that had dominated at the beginning of the conflict had been destroyed. I know that we can face any enemy and that we can win if we set our hearts and minds to it, but we need a shared cause to fight for and that begs the question:

What would you die for?

The answer to that question will tell if the West will stand or fall when evil finally arrives at our front door. For me, the answer is carved in stone and my will is set. But each individual must make up their own mind. I do not know when this evil will choose to do battle with the world. It could be in five years or ten or even longer, but I fear that the casualties will be greater than World War II. Anger seethes in the world, and people are preoccupied with their passions, but when it decides to reveal itself you will know it for what it is.

It will test our resolve, our skills, our compassion, and our endurance and it will change our world, and I believe that it will be America's finest moment as World War II was England's. Let us hope that we prove to be worth our salt.
