The current troubles in the Middle East are troubling, and they only promise to get worse. The problem with the civil unrest can be traced directly back to the continued tensions that the Middle East traditionally places on its citizens. Governmental incompetence and errors are hidden behind propaganda aimed at Israel and the United States, and the West in general. Thus the people of the Middle East are hyped up with hatred and anger at the "enemies" of the Middle East and the Jews in particular.
Arab television promotes blood libel against the Jews, uses warmed over Nazi propaganda, and indoctrinates children into a world of institutionalized hatred for Jews, Christians, and the West. Worse, children are taught that blowing themselves up for Allah and taking as many Kafir with them as possible is a good and desirable thing. Therefore, it is not uncommon to see children as young as seven or eight dressed in military apparel marching in formation with weapons preparing for this role. In essence, the Arab has taken the concept of the Hitler Youth and translated it to Jihad for their own children so that the can continue the blatant hatred inherited from their parents. But there is a price.
The price for maintaining a population that is frothing at the mouth with hatred and anger is that it must be directed at specific targets. So long as that is the Kafir, the West, Israel, and the United States no problem. But what happens if that pot of seething anger boils over? You get what happened in Tunisia and Egypt and can trace its spread to Jordan and to Syria.
Is this entirely the Middle East's own fault? Absolutely, but despots who habitually lie to their own people in order to cover their own asses are not known to possess much foresight. Therefore, it came as a great shock to the tyrants in the Middle East that the people were revolting against their dictatorial rule. Essentially the same thing occurred in the United States in the 1960's with the Weather Underground and the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). Both occurred because of the hate and anger injected into the body politic of disaffected citizens.
In the Middle East, you get terrorism and kids blowing themselves up in public. In the United States you get wealthy kids who agonize over their wealth and status and they send bombs to government buildings, rob banks, and murder police because of their daddy issues. Differing cultures different results, but essentially the same dynamic.
This is why the left drools when they hear about a mass shooting like what happened to Congresswoman Gifford. In their heart of hearts they are praying that their arch enemy will be behind it so that they can launch and all out attack. This is why they jump the gun, this is why they blame the right, and this is why the immediately go after prominent conservative personas like Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh before ever hearing about the facts. We used to call those sorts of actions going off half cocked, but the left simply call it their standard operating procedure.
In the Middle East where the people are less educated, more prone to use violence, and permanently set with a hair trigger, the consequences can be far more dire. Usually the result is terrorism performed in Israel, Europe, the U.S., or elsewhere in the world with innocents paying the price for the politicians incompetence and propaganda. This time however, the chickens have come home to roost.
Unfortunately, the radical dynamic is still hard at work in the Middle East. The Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, and Hezbollah are all poised to ascend to greater power through elections in Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, and possibly Syria. This means that the radicals do not wish to see the negative charge in the population dissipate because they wish to redirect it at Israel and their traditional enemies in the West. The challenge is to control it so that all of that hatred can be channeled toward something external in order to remain in power. This is the core of Machiavelli's tenant that it is better for a despot to be feared rather than loved, but that he must take care to never be hated because hatred will always override fear.
If you recall the popular elections in the Palestinian Authority, Hamas took power and Hamas is constitutionally opposed to the survival of Israel. It is highly likely that the exact same results will occur in Egypt, Tunisia, and Jordan. Syria is still a wildcard in that Syria maintains a brutal hold over its people similar to Iran. This means that while tensions are high, a brutal hand may keep them in check now that regimes in the region are alerted to the danger in their midst.
Brutality in the Middle East is a daily occurrence and the people there are not strangers to it. They stone, beat, and behead people and the citizens there think little of the morality of these practices. It is activities like these that help to keep the emotions of the populace in check similar to the group releases Orwell used in his book 1984 where citizens vented their rage at Goldstein en masse. The danger for the West is that these people are transplanted with this hate and anger coursing through their minds and there is absolutely no outlet for these emotions in a civilized nation.
This is why France burned for weeks, it is why Muslims feel free to exert their power over Kafir women by raping them, this is why they attack the British Police with impunity while they call for the deaths of British citizens, and it is why anti-Semitism is increasing at an alarming rate in Europe. Even the city of Malmo has been turned into a hostile environs for Judaism by Muslim thugs.
No matter how much you kiss these people's asses, the radicals and semi-radicals will never call you friend. We are the outsider, the Kafir and by Islamic law we are chattel to Islam. They are free to murder, rape, and sell us as slaves. In fact, Islam is the largest holder of slaves in the World today, but that is another story.
President Obama and the State Department can schmooze with Islamic nations, kiss the ass of terrorists, and call radicals misunderstood citizens of the World all day long and the end result will be the same because absolutely nothing is being done to bleed down the hatred, anger, and volatility of the peoples of the Ummah. Unless and until that happens we will always be burdened with civil and social unrest in the Middle East and around the Globe.
Whenever you see anger, hatred and vitriol being inculcated into a group of people violence and civil unrest will always follow. Always. We have seen this in Nazi Germany, Mussolini's Italy, the United States of America, France, the Middle East, everywhere. It is a dark and dangerous dynamic that only assists the enemies of freedom.

Before long, I expect Obama to give his full endorsement of the Muslim Brotherhood. Watch for that development; I'm as sure as I can be that such a development is coming.
excellent work BILL..I posted as well but am fed up with the world wide dhimmitude...HAVE A SWEET SUNDAY dear friend!!:)
Bill, this is a very dangerous situation indeed, and I believe it will get worse.
The Left and Islam have been in bed with each other, and they both seem to thrive on bloodshed, violence, and chaos.
"No matter how much you kiss these people's asses, the radicals and semi-radicals will never call you friend."
And no matter how much someone like Obama is told, he just won't get it. The grovelling to the MUZZIES will continue for as long as he stays in office.
I sincerely believe Obama will openly support the Muslim Brotherhood, he has already proven his loyalty to that religion and its people. Bowing down and kissing them on the hand is a great indication on where his loyalty lies.
I am worried.
"We have seen this in Nazi Germany, Mussolini's Italy, the United States of America, France, the Middle East, everywhere."
To be accurate, we first saw it from the days of prophet mohammed. the nazis, italy, france etc all came afterward.
Even the slavery that the west gnashes its teeth over all the time, was never as bad as the slavery conducted by muslims way before your nation was even dreamt of.
And it is because of this that - "The Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, and Hezbollah are all poised to ascend to greater power through elections in Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, and possibly Syria."
The difference between an Egypt and a Burma is that in a Burma, they want to be free of all tyranny. The religion and culture they believe in has a similar respect for human rights and human dignity.
Not so in the muslim middle east, which is why as you said, one tyranny will just be replaced with another.
hang in there my friend~!:)
Great post as always. Even without Obama, I am not sure how we can beat this thing. Obama is fueling the flame, but it has been in the works for a long time.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!! Bill and keep the faith~!
