Immigration: The Next Battle

The recent legislation signed into law in Arizona is the culmination of several factors. First and foremost is the inaction of the Federal government to deal with this problem. For years, the Federal government has been negligent in dealing with illegals. I have personally experienced having the Immigration and Naturalization Service refuse to take illegals into custody forcing me to release prisoners back onto the street where they disappear for years into the community. This is because illegal immigration is a Federal crime and not a State crime. Many of the police officers that I have worked with have had similar experiences, but without a State law to enforce, your hands are tied.

Arizona has had a nightmare with illegals overrunning their State and has tried on numerous occasions to get the Federal government to perform its responsibilities, but Arizona has only received active hostility and silence on this issue from the Feds. Recent firefights along the border and the murder of innocents has heightened the tension in the State and finally, the legislature and the Governor acted to protect the innocent residents of the State and created a law that echoes Federal law, in that it is now illegal to be in the State of Arizona if you are illegally in the United States. This empowers local law enforcement to detain and charge illegals and imprison them. That is a power that I and many other law enforcement officers dearly wish that we had back in the day.

The vast majority of illegals are decent, hard working individuals. Their living conditions resemble those in a third world nation and most of the crimes that they commit are misdemeanors, but there is a sub-section of this population that are gang members and felons and they are the ones who are dangerous. Additionally, driving under the influence is a problem with this population and numerous accidents and fatalities can be attributed to illegals operating motor vehicles under the influence and uninsured across the United States.

What irritates me about the protests to this new law is the leftist carping about profiling, picking on poor Juan and Juanita who are just the salt of the earth, and how the good citizens of Arizona are all racist Nazis despite the fact that Juan and Juanita are violating the law. Aside from the leftist love affair with the criminal element and providing furloughs to convicted murderers serving life sentences, they are defending criminal actions. Actions that if occurred in Mexico or some other Central American nation would land you in a prison that is reminiscent of the movie “Midnight Express.” The protests orchestrated by the leftist criminal sympathizers are even more insane.

Imagine if you will, that a group of sex offenders protested in the thousands contending that laws against sex offenses were unjust. Such an event would be an insane joke. That is exactly what illegals protesting this law are, a farce. Additionally, during these protests they are out of control and violent. Yes, they are here illegally, but damnit they have a right to be here illegally. Absurd, but then absurdity and the left goes back a long ways.

The left also says that illegals pay their taxes. Sales taxes and excise taxes they do because it is added to the bill. Income taxes they do not because you must report your income to the IRS. Yet they drain public services that are afforded to U.S. citizens including education, medical care, and food. It is one of the main reasons that California is going bankrupt and now pays its bills with IOUs, something that has not happened since the days of the Great Depression. Go to the states who are in a financial crisis and you will find a huge illegal immigrant population sucking the public coffers dry like a leech. What does the left do about this problem? They create amnesty cities.

Amnesty cities are jurisdictions that forbid local law enforcement from determining the immigration status of offenders. It is sort of like the don’t ask, don’t tell policy of the U.S. military. In amnesty cities, illegals are welcome and sheltered from the Federal government’s efforts to deport them back to their home nations. Apparently, some laws are meant to be violated with impunity depending upon the jurisdiction.

Aside from the fact that illegals are law breakers, they are also a threat to national security. Remember the 9/11 attack? A ring of forfeit document makers that specialized in making forged papers for illegals was used by the 9/11 hijackers to obtain their documents. Worse, the fence that Secretary of State Napolitano ordered to be abandoned does not help the situation either. Porous borders in today’s world of terrorists and homemade WMDs do not a secure nation make.

Of course, this means nothing to the, “America is a continent, not a nation” crowd, but then most of them don’t work or pay taxes like you and I. They just sit around singing Kumbaya and bitching about Bush. I applaud the good people of Arizona and I will be contacting my State representatives to enact similar legislation so that local law enforcement will be empowered to deal with this scourge.

While I encourage legitimate and lawful immigration, the illegals have got to go or else we will have similar problems to Europe with their lax immigration policies.

Leftist Lies and Propaganda

Fox News reported the following recently:

“Former President Clinton on Sunday broadened his warning that Tea Party protesters could feed violence reminiscent of the Oklahoma City bombing, suggesting "right-wing media" and the blogosphere could be culpable for any future politically fueled extremism as well.

The former president, speaking on ABC's "This Week," elaborated on his controversial comments from Friday, when he drew parallels between the modern Tea Party movement and the anti-government rage of the mid-'90s that preceded the 1995 Oklahoma City attack that killed 168 people and injured hundreds more. Clinton said Sunday that political dissent is necessary, but "demonization" of government is dangerous -- citing the uptick in threats made against members of Congress and other officials.”

I only have two problems with what President Clinton is saying. The first problem is, where the hell was he and the left when the nut jobs were protesting President Bush and the war in Iraq? I have seen President Bush portrayed as a blend of Hitler and Satan (see video below regarding media bias for the proof), President Bush being beheaded, and any number of other violent and vile things that the leftist mind could come up with. I have witnessed a Noble Peace Prize winner fantasize about murdering President Bush. I have seen Cindy Sheehan longingly describe how she wished to travel back in time in order to butcher President Bush while he was a child…A CHILD.

Worse, the left has urged armed insurrection against the government of the United States of America and two of President Obama’s friends are unrepentant terrorists who believe that they should have murdered more people. Further, my pastor does not say, “Not God bless America, but Goddamn America.” What about that middle school teacher that lost his marbles and is trying to get radicals to infiltrate and destroy the Tea Party? I hate to tell you this Mr. President, but your worldview seems severely distorted. Those on the left are sweet, peace loving, friendly, gentle souls who only want what is best for America. Those on the right are dim witted, evil, angry, hateful bastards that thirst for blood and murder babies. That has been the left’s line since time immemorial and it is pure unadulterated bullshit.

Which brings me to my second problem with your ludicrous assertion; those who call themselves conservatives have a reverence for the law. We actually believe in the rule of law and yes Mr. President, we also know what the definition of the word “is” is and don’t believe in using fuzzy logic to lie to the courts or Federal Prosecutors about having sex with teenaged interns while we cheat on our wife and then plan to ruin her reputation in order to save our own ass.

The left however believes itself above the law. That is why they have camps to teach their protestors insurrection tactics designed to overwhelm law enforcement and prevent the administration of justice as they did in Washington in the 1990’s. That is why they hide behind their children in order to keep the police from using tear gas. That is why the left advocates soldiers murdering their officers and why the left STILL spits upon soldiers returning from the battlefield. It is why Bill Maher, Janeane Garofalo, Sean Penn, and others too numerous to list spew bile and vitriol constantly against middle America and our values.

As for respecting the tyranny of the Federal government, you must be joking. This government no longer represents the American people. We are being taxed while having no voice in making law. Congressman and Senators declare themselves in open opposition to us and the President of the United States of America ridicules us. You and your ilk spend us into oblivion and saddle our children with a debt that they can never repay and then you arrogantly demand that we thank you. That Sir is not freedom, but slavery. No man who is dependent upon another can ever be free. Yet you would make us dependent upon the government for healthcare as a first step toward socialism. You would turn the National Endowment of the Arts as a propaganda arm to spew your leftist talking points while we are fleeced to support it.

Further, you promise us transparency, but deliver only opacity. You change the locks on the doors to committee rooms in order to lock out the opposition. You bribe opposing voices in your own party in order to secure votes needed to override the will of the American people. You have no honor and no integrity. Instead of the people’s representatives serving in Washington, we have Lords and Ladies in the Congress and a King in the White House ruling by decree.

The citizens of this land fought a war over just such a situation in order to establish the United States of America. My own ancestors led men and fought in that war and were proud to do so because they valued freedom. Americans value freedom just as much today.

That is why so many States have passed legislation asserting their rights under the 10th amendment. That is why so many States have moved to block Obamacare. That is why the streets are full of angry people. They are there because it is you and your ilk that have put them there. Did you really believe that we would allow you to implement your socialist ideals without any opposition? Did you really think that the American people would allow you and yours to water down our liberty without as much as a whimper when we spilled blood for it in the past? If so then you are a fool.

You work hard to dismantle the greatest engine of wealth creation in the history of man in order to make us all equally poor. You print money as if there was no tomorrow and the debt will never come due. You believe that Americans should cheerfully hand over one sixth of the American economy to the people who bankrupted Social Security and Medicare. Mr. President you and your party cannot even provide simple answers to questions about legislation because you have not read the bill and in many cases, you did not even write the bill, giving that responsibility to outsiders on the left wing.

Given all of that, you still have the audacity to lecture the right about our behavior? For shame Mr. President, you have learned nothing about honor since leaving the White House and you sure as hell don’t know a damned thing about integrity. All you are trying to do is slow the momentum to the growing Tea Party movement and it is not going to work. Stand in the way of it if you must, but save the lies and propaganda for your leftist friends.

A Warning to The Left

Leftist violence in the United States is up sharply since President Obama took office. People have been beaten by SIEU union thugs, Black Panther’s intimidating voters at polling places have been turned loose without being prosecuted for their crime and the most recent example of leftist violence and bile leaves a woman and her boyfriend severely beaten and injured.

Allie Bautsch, and her boyfriend, Joe Brown, had attended a GOP fundraiser in New Orleans one week ago. There was a simultaneous protest being held by leftists and this is what apparently instigated the attack on the couple. According to Wizbang, the couple had left the fundraiser and was some blocks away when a group of people insulted and then attacked them for political reasons. Ms. Bautsch was knocked to the ground and stomped on resulting in five fractures in her leg which necessitated steel rods and pins to put back together and her boyfriend suffered a concussion, fractured jaw and nose.

Truthfully, had I witnessed this attack in my home State of Virginia, I would have shot the assailants. People have been murdered by such attacks including police officers, and the injuries sustained by these two innocent victims more than justify the use of lethal force. This is the lesson that I hope that the liberal dirt bags take away from this posting. You are tempting fate when you engage in such behavior because one day you will do this and end up dead because of it.

You spit on soldiers returning home to the 10th Mountain Division, you shoot airmen as they depart the base for the day, you beat people when they are alone and far from friends as you did with the couple in New Orleans, you intimidate voters at the polls, and you forge ballots to bring your candidates to office. You are scum and criminals and I don’t give a damn about you or your purple SIEU shirt. So if I were you, I would take a hint and tone it down before you do something that will get you killed.

Don’t try me.

The Two-faced Left

Assessing the left’s intentions is never an easy thing to do. This is because the left lies like a rug on the floor. Take Nancy Pelosi for example, when she became the Speaker of the House she said that she would preside over the most ethical Congress in the history of the United States. Instead, it has been one of the most corrupt with Speaker Pelosi herself being proven to have blatantly lied to the American public about what she knew about the war on terror. God knows what we will eventually find out about how she got Obamacare through the House and that is just for starters.

President Obama has been steadily weakening America’s defense in an apparent effort to make Joe Biden’s prediction about massive terror attacks on the U.S. come true. His first week in office he said that he was closing Gitmo and transferring these vermin to U.S. soil effectively making whoever takes them a primary terror target. He also ordered that all water boarding stop as well, but he reserved the tactic for himself should he wish to use it. He demands that soldiers capturing enemy combatants on the battlefield read these combatants their Miranda rights despite the fact that they are on foreign soil and not American citizens. In case you are unfamiliar with the Miranda warning, it is essentially this:

"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to speak with an attorney, and to have an attorney present during any questioning. If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be provided for you at government expense."

This essentially ties the interrogator’s hands on obtaining intelligence because if the terrorist is smart, he will opt for legal representation. Additionally, if we have to read terrorists their rights, what about the terrorists that we already have? Could they not assert that they were never advised of their rights and therefore all inculpatory information provided is now inadmissible in a court of law because of the exclusionary rule? The fact that the President intends to try these enemy combatants in a criminal court speaks volumes about this administration’s intent without any of it being good. All of this boils down to if you are white and of European origin and are Christian and are picked up on the battlefield, then it is a military tribunal for you as was done repeatedly in World War II. If you happen to be Middle Eastern and a Muslim and picked up on the battlefield, then you get read your rights, go to criminal court and get a free lawyer. Despite this, the President claims that he is hard on terror. What is wrong with this picture? Does that make any sense to you? This is the leftist insanity that we elected.

I will even go so far as to say that the people are no longer represented in the Federal government. For what else could you call it when elected legislators:

1. No longer listen to the voice of the American people
2. Do not read the legislation that they pass
3. In many instances, do not even write the legislation that they pass
4. Declare themselves in opposition to the American people and belittle them
5. Respond only to the urgings of special interests and unions
6. Freely bribe each other in order to secure votes

These are the actions of this President and Congress who through their arrogance and opposition to freedom use the United States Constitution as toilet paper and dishonor to their oaths of office each and every day. Amazingly, these same despots wonder why we are angry with them. We are angry because the United States of America was designed to be administered by a President and not a King and because Congress was to be served by the representatives of the people and not elitist aristocrats who contrive to set citizen upon citizen hoping that we will ignore their misdeeds because we are too busy sniping at one another.

Their willing lap dogs in the so called “news media” are just as bad. These charlatans abandoned any pretense of objectivity long ago and got into bed with the corrupt left and now only spew their talking points and propaganda. This is why Fox News has better ratings than all of the others combined, because they adhere to balance and journalistic ethics. This is also why the White House has waged war with Fox on at least two occasions. This is because when you are a liar, a truth telling press is your worst enemy. If you have any doubts about the media’s leanings, watch the video of Susan Rosegen’s CNN coverage below and it will become blatantly obvious. Worse, the news media even directly misleads the American public with blatant lies. For example, the coverage of a man with an AR-15 slung over his shoulder at an event where President Obama was to be was cited as a case of blatant racism and it was inferred that the man with the rifle was white, when in reality he was black. The news crew had edited the film to hide that fact so that the talking heads could go on a diatribe about racism. In that instance they had been caught, how many other instances have they gotten away with? The elitists in the media claim to love the truth, but they do reports like the one cited and howl like a scalded dog when the rare Republican gets caught lying.

Those on the left also like spending other people’s money with tax and spend policies designed to bankrupt the nation. This is why they are trying to pass a European style VAT tax of 20-25% which will be ADDED to your income tax, but wait! There’s more! They will also add the Cap and Trade tax which will save us from imaginary manmade global warming that the left invented in order to get you to concede to confiscatory taxation and Marxist policies. Not to mention that you will be taxed for four years before you even see any healthcare benefits! Good times. Did I mention that our debt is rapidly approaching 90% of our GDP, that we are about to lose our AAA bond rating, and that we are monetizing our debt? Well, if you happen to go to bed one night and wake up with America in ruins and on fire, that’s how we got there.

You see, when the housing bubble burst, the Federal Reserve Bank created another bubble by printing money like there is no tomorrow, which by the way we are still doing. Unfortunately for you, if this one bursts, it is game over. The economy will collapse and you will be in a soup line sadly wondering how all of this happened. It does not matter where you are on the planet, you will feel it should it happen. This is because the world’s economy is tied to the American economy. If it implodes, then the rest of the world’s economies will fall like dominoes. The only hope is to slowly bleed down the bubble over time, but the leftists in government don’t want to do that they want an even bigger bubble. Hence, they spend and borrow money like there is an asteroid due to arrive next week. The only question is why?

I believe that President Obama is a Marxist. His parents were Marxists. He spent all of his youth around Marxists and he sat in a Marxist church for twenty years. This is why there are so many Marxists and Maoists surrounding him today in the White House. In case you were unaware, Marxists hate capitalism because it oppresses the worker. This is why Marx enjoined the workers of the world to unite and dismantle capitalism brick by brick until it was utterly destroyed. That way, we would all be equally destitute, well with the exception of the ruling elites that is. You know, like President Obama, Representatives Frank and Pelosi, Senator Reid, et al. After all, they have to have the best of the best because they are our dear leaders. Yet all of these people claim to love capitalism, I wonder what is up with that?

Previously, I posted about not turning to violence and I stand by that position. However, the only redress we have left is our vote. That ballot is all that stands between politicians and bullets. If the ballot is cast and government ignores the results, then we are dangerously close to spilling blood because that is all a free man has left to redress the wrongs and usurpations of government. Chillingly, it seems as if this is where the left wishes to take the nation. They have politicized every principal, polarized the nation, and actively seek to silence any and all opposition. The anger that they have created is growing and extends even into the state legislatures. The fact that our elected “leaders” is cheering them on is abhorrent and irresponsible and is yet another reason why these jackals must be voted out of office.

I submit that the Federal government is dysfunctional and that our elected “representatives” represent us in name only. That the Federal government is increasingly diminishing the power of the electorate and that they are on a quest to gather as much power as they can in order to force men to bend to their will. The kickbacks, bribes, graft, and corruption all prove that Congressman and Senators think of themselves first before they give thought to us. Their ridicule of the citizens as they protest these excesses only proves my point about their unbridled arrogance and utter disregard for the American people. As such, Lady Liberty is battered, bruised, and bleeding by the actions of this Congress and President and her clothing hangs about her in tatters. I pray that you do not forget the ones who so savagely assaulted her.

Pay them back in spades on Election Day, remind the jackals in Washington D.C. that the American citizen is still in charge of this nation. Take back your nation and return Lady Liberty to her sacred place of honor. We owe her at least that much.
