Testing the Waters

Did you ever wonder why the left is so damnably inept? I mean, the first thing that they do when they gain control of the Congress and the White House is to spend generations of Americans into oblivion, consume massive segments of the national economy, declare a surrender on the war on terror, and attempt to usurp one sixth of the American economy by taking over health care. With Medicare 74 trillion dollars in the red, it is hard to imagine how in the name of God, that the government couldn’t foul up medical care for the rest of the nation. Never mind that they have been told repeatedly by the vast majority of the citizens of this nation, “Hell no, we don’t want you to do that.” However, they only become more determined to ram it down our throat.

I have come to believe that we are under attack by the left on every front, but militarily. They re-write history to hide their sins and to promote the destruction of their enemies. They moderate education to promote their twisted values to our children. They attack the culture by embracing every other culture, but our own. They promote diversity while they work to undermine unity, and they lie. Dear God, how they lie. If a leftist is shouting about something wrong in society or government, I will bet you dollars to doughnuts that it is really them that are doing it and their public “alert” is just a cover to hide their actions.

You can judge a person’s character by the people they idolize and the left’s heroes leaves no room for doubt as to the rotted core of their principals. Margaret Sanger, Che Guevara, Stalin, Castro, Chavez, Mao, George Bernard Shaw, ad nauseum, are all leftist icons of greatness. Never mind the seas of blood these people have created, and yes, even Margaret Sanger. She is responsible for the deaths of 30 million unborn and counting. Even the peace movement is riddled with the symbols of death. The next time you see one look for the red stars, inevitable Che t-shirts, and Maoist and Marxist slogans. The left does not mind death, so long as it is they who are dealing it. That was the lesson learned from the New York Times reporter that covered up the slaughter of millions in the Ukraine and he even won a Pulitzer for his propaganda pieces. This is where the assault on our morals as a nation comes into play.

With 64 million shades of gray, where do you draw the line? The Soviets initiated a program in the West called “active measures,” the goal of the program was to destroy the native values of the indigenous population in order to introduce Soviet morals, morals that are promoted by Saul Alinsky in his infamous “Rules for Radicals” which is now used as a weapon in the subversion of the American system of government. Morals that can be encapsulated as meaning the ends justify any means. This is why the left feels no hesitation whatsoever about their lack of moral character. It is also why the left viciously attack both Christianity and Judaism while sucking up to Islam.

While one may argue that Islam promotes similar values, you would be wrong. The principal of Al Taquia is exactly what the left does to anyone outside of themselves. Recall the taped conversation at the National Endowment of the Arts when it was said that, “code words” needed to be found in order to hide their agenda from public scrutiny? It is precisely the malleable ethics of Islam that brings it within the sphere of Marxism, at least from a moral standpoint, and it is why the left adores it so. The fact that Islam seeks to destroy everything outside of itself, and itself when nobody else is available, is also pleasing to the left. Remember after 9/11 when the left said that we had it coming? Ward Churchill may have taken a hit on his public pronouncement, but the left was right there with him in their hearts. Question their patriotism? Damn right you should.

All of this adds up to an all out assault on freedom. This is why the left went insane in 1994 and why it has gone insane again. They are probing the defenses of a free people in order to see if the time is right to shift to more strident measures. This is why they are like a dog on a bone where health care is concerned. They want to see how hard you will fight to keep government’s fingers out of your medical care. Essentially, it is a bellwether for the real assault they wish to stage. Remember a fellow by the name of Bill Ayers? Yeah, he and his wife, Bernadine Dohrn, are the unrepentant terrorists who are only sorry that they didn’t end the lives of more innocents when they were bombing Americans with wild abandon. Good times.

We will endure these tests until the leftist ideology is defeated decisively. We need to understand who these enemies of freedom are, why they do what they do, and why they constantly attack the moral fabric of the nation until it lies in tatters at the feet of an enslaved people. In short, they must be opposed at every turn and unrelentingly. We must fight their agenda in the schools, in business, in entertainment, and in government. By educating the people, exposing the lies, and challenging their leftist arguments wherever they are presented, we can stamp out this social caustic that does not create, but only destroys.

Massachusetts fires the second shot heard around the world!

Scott Brown defeats Martha Coakley in the race for Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat. Brown, who was trailing Coakley by 30 points just three weeks ago, becomes the first Republican elected to Federal office since the early 1970’s. While the Democrats have resorted to back biting and finger pointing, there is a lesson to be absorbed and it is that those who hold office in Washington D.C. are there only because of the will of the electorate. If the electorate decides that they have had enough of you, then you are gone.

The unmitigated arrogance, corruption, partisanship, and outright Marxist tendencies of the current administration has awakened the American people and set us upon the course of a revolution. President Obama who campaigned for Deeds, Corzine, Coakley, and to win the Olympics for Chicago has failed on all four counts. Thus, it appears that Obama has no coattails upon which to ride into office.

Americans are tired of a Federal government that does not represent them, that is arrogant, spends like money grows on trees, and blames all of their failures on the past administration. Massachusetts is the bluest of the 50 states where Democrats outnumber Republicans 3:1. If a Democrat cannot win there, then where can they win? For my own two Democratic Senators and my Democratic Congressman, I hope that you feel a chill running down your spine. Your time is coming.

I can’t wait for Election Day 2010.

Today is Election Day in Massachusetts and we will find out by the end of the day if Candidate Scott Brown will defeat the socialist tool, Martha Coakley. Does Massachusetts coronate Coakley and affirm tyranny or do they select Brown and once again take a position of leadership for the cause of freedom? While I have heard that Brown looks like he will win, I have also heard that the opera is not over until the fat lady sings. Of the two, I prefer the latter in determining the outcome of the Massachusetts election.

I therefore hold my breath, hoping that freedom wins within the borders of our Northern cousin. However, I will cross my fingers and say a prayer that the good citizens of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will remember their heritage and return to that ideal. Traditionally, Massachusetts is a Democratic state, but the actions of government remove the distinctions of party and make today’s election a referendum on the ideals that founded our nation. In essence, the Massachusetts election is a bellwether for the nation. Does freedom as we have known it live or die? This is why I hold my breath, the potential future for our nation hangs like a sword of Damocles above the head of Congress and Massachusetts holds the scissors to cut the thread.

I suppose that we find out who we are by the end of this evening.

The “R” Word

The Democrats have pulled out all of the stops after Martha Coakley's thugs earned her some bad reputation after assaulting a reporter on a public street recently in the nation’s capitol. Therefore, in order to balance the scales, they now accuse her political opponent, Scott Brown, of being a radical and tied to that insidious and radical group, the tea baggers. My college professors used to say that you resorted to ad hominem attacks when you were out of facts and it certainly appears as if they were correct. The Democrats, no strangers themselves to radicalism, often resort to the politics of personal destruction when they can argue no other facts.

As an example of leftist radicalism, when President Obama began his political career, he did so at the home of two known and unrepentant terrorists. He is good friends with a Palestinian terrorist turned college professor and author. When he was young, the President sought out the company of Marxists and he now surrounds himself with them as Czars on the Federal payroll and supports the Marxist notion that the wealth must be spread from the haves to the have not’s as a matter of course. He has done a world tour where he has apologized for the United States and its ridiculous arrogance in supporting freedom for the peoples of the world. He and his cronies in Congress have usurped control of the auto, banking, and mortgage industries and now seeks to take over one sixth of the nation’s economy by socializing medicine thereby creating death panels and rationing health care to American citizens. Yet, the Democrats do not call that radical.

Conversely, if you happen to support the United States Constitution, the fact that the Federal government derives it authority to govern from the consent of the people, and the fact that your duly elected Federal representatives no longer represent your interests and are now spending future citizens into oblivion and don’t even read the legislation they pass, then you are a radical. Make sense now? No? Then your head must be screwed on right.

Hearing the word, “radical” come from the lips of the Democratic Party against someone who is fighting against radicalism is unbelievable. It defies belief not because it questions Mr. Brown’s moral perspective, but because it underscores the morality of the Democratic Party. Where do you have to be in order to judge Mr. Brown as a radical? The only way that Brown could be radical is if the Democrats no longer represented truly American values. If they supported a Marxist/socialist form of government and sought to dilute constitutional authority and to collectivize the public, then yes, Mr. Brown would be radical to that agenda. The Democrats would never own up to that perspective however, because they know that the American public would never support it. This is the reason for Saul Alinsky’s rules for radicals and Cloward and Piven’s circumspect strategy.

Norman Thomas, a socialist during the early era of progressivism, said that the American public would never vote for a socialist agenda, but if it were labeled as liberal they would take every aspect of it. This is the reason that they lie about their true intent. Recall the recorded conversation between the National Endowment for the Arts and the artistic community? Remember when the NEA said that they had to find code words in order to hide the fact that they were using public funding to support leftist propaganda so that the public would be kept in the dark and unaware? Ask yourself this, why is it necessary to keep you uninformed of what is transpiring in government? Is it because they know that you will not approve and will act to stop them? Yes.

That is the only answer that makes any sense and that is the reason that the Democrats use subterfuge and deception on the American public. That is also why they pass laws that they do not read, it is why they change the locks on doors to committees so that the political opposition cannot be present when their leftist agenda is discussed, and it is why they ignore pointed questions about their actions. To the left, their greatest enemy is not the Republican Party, but the American voter. If you don’t believe that then go to Youtube and watch the proceedings of last year’s town halls on socializing medicine and see the contempt that these politicians expressed to the people that gave them their office. Watch as the SEIU gives out beatings to political opponents and see how Barney Frank deals with his constituents and you will understand what I am talking about.

If you agree with that type of thing then simply do nothing and allow it to continue, but if you are opposed to lying to the American people, governing in secret, being taxed without representation in government, and watching your liberties evaporate, then ignore the left when they scream “radical” because it is themselves they are speaking of when they say it. As for Massachusetts, I only have the following to say:

It was in Massachusetts where the shot heard ‘round the world was fired, it was Massachusetts where the battle of Bunker Hill was fought and it was Massachusetts where the Minute Men marched. In short, Massachusetts is where American freedom was born. Today, we face the same challenges that our forefathers faced: taxation without representation, tyranny, the usurpation of the rights and prerogatives of the electorate, and the abuse of positions of power.

Freedom cannot long exist within the breast of a man who is dependent upon government. By relinquishing our individual liberty and seeking the support of government to exist and thrive we abandon the virtues of our fathers and betray their cause. Washington, Madison, Jefferson, Hamilton, Jay, and our other founding fathers would be ashamed of us for what we now allow the Federal government to do. It is time to awaken to our peril and return government to its rightful place and to rein in our public servants and remind them of why they are there in the first place. Massachusetts has long been slumbering in the cause of freedom where once it led the world. I ask you now, awaken and defend freedom as you once did. Return to the fire that created our great nation and raised it to the forefront of the world as the greatest hope for man around the globe. Return to your leadership in the cause of liberty and the other thirteen former colonies will back you in your fight as we once did because individual freedom is our cause as well. Do not support Martha Coakley in her bid to continue us down the path of dependence and servitude for the American people.

As a fellow Virginian once remarked, “I know not what course others may choose, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death.” Our cause is just, but we must stand for it and defend it against those who would strip us of our liberty. It is my hope that you remember your heritage on Election Day and lead us in a second American revolution as you once did.

Unbelievable

The controversy surrounding Harry Reid is amazing. If anything, his comments are proof that it is the left that are the rabid racists of legend and not the right. It was the Democrats that opposed the freeing of black slaves leading to the Civil War. It was Democratic President Woodrow Wilson that sang the praises of the Ku Klux Klan. It was Senator Robert Byrd who was Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan and called Bush’s White House staffers “white niggers.”

Additionally, the left loves blackface. First they portrayed Michael Steele in blackface when he ran for office in Maryland and then Jane Hamsher of the Huffington Post placed Joe Lieberman in blackface in order to show him as a racist when he ran against the Marxist Ned Lamont in Connecticut. If Jane’s name sounds familiar, it was she that called for Senator Lieberman’s wife to be stripped of her job because of her husband’s outlook on socializing medicine. Never mind the fact that Mrs. Lieberman has no connection to government except through her husband. I guess that the left figures never let an innocent bystander escape, but I digress.

Senator Reid just said what the rest of the left was thinking about then candidate, Barrack Obama. You see, it is the left that is riddled with guilt over how blacks are treated in the U.S., because it is they who did most of the damage to that demographic, but true to form they deny any wrong doing and blame conservatives for their moral short comings. Consider Vice President Biden’s comments about then Candidate Obama, "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy, I mean, that's a storybook, man."

The implications of Biden’s thoughts are unsettling. It would appear that he routinely thinks of blacks as being un-articulate, not too bright, and unclean. Biden apologized of course, but that does not change the circumstances of what he apparently thinks. If one were to contrast just this sampling from the left with Trent Lott’s statement to Strom Thurmond that the U.S. would have avoided many problems had Thurmond been successful in his run for President at his 100th birthday party. Of course the left howled because Thurmond had been segregationist back then, as were most Democrats and the left took that as tacit support of segregation by Trent Lott. That part, the liberals left out in their criticism of Lott.

Trent Lott was at Strom Thurmond’s 100th birthday party and was trying to express his appreciation of Thurmond and the “racial” aspect of his comment required some mental gymnastics, while Reid was giving his honest assessment of Obama’s candidacy and the intent was clearly racially motivated. Therefore, it would seem that the left’s protest that Lott’s comment was worse by comparison is merely a case of apples and oranges rather than apples and apples.

Of course, I could enumerate dozens more examples of the left’s racist actions as well as comments, but I believe that I have adequately explained the truth without having to delve into Senator Barbara Boxer’s racist actions while questioning the Head of the National Black Chamber of Commerce. There is an ugly underside of leftist politics, but that is what happens when you maintain a double standard.

If you don’t have to worry about adhering to the tough standard that you force your political opponents to live up to, you tend to get lazy and things like what Biden and Reid said tend to slip out every now and again. If you really want to blow your own mind, check out the left’s reaction to the Patriot Act and compare that with the silence you now hear from them regarding the Executive Order that allows Interpol to do whatever it damn well please on American soil. Do that and you will have a good understanding of who these idiots really are.

The State of the Union

President Obama will deliver his State of the Union address soon, so I thought that I would take the opportunity to give mine first and allow him to have the last word. As a result, this post shall remain up until the President has delivered his speech. First, the election of Barack Obama to the highest office in the land was historic. Not because a black man was elected to become the President of the United States of America, but because it proved, without a shadow of a doubt, that America did not care what color you are, about the national origins of your parents, or about your past. Americans only care about your ability to do the job and that is a powerful message. It means that you ethnicity does not matter nor does your religion or background. What matters is your vision for the nation. President Obama fronted a middle of the road political philosophy and offered hope and a responsive government and he won the election, but when he did not deliver what he had promised his support evaporated.

As the President’s approval ratings amongst all Americans dropped precipitously, the President did not modify his behavior and therefore widened the schism between himself and the American people. This is because of his support of Congress in mandating that all citizens of the United States must purchase health insurance or be fined and/or incarcerated. Thus, the citizens of a so called free state are being told what to do by government edict. If allowed to occur, it will be the first step in the transition of a free people to the acceptance of government as our master rather than as our servant.

Worse, the yoke of financial slavery is being bound around our children’s necks and to their descendents as well. Where once our children were born free, today and in the future our children will be born several hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt in a world where they will have diminished rights. Never before in American history has this occurred. We have always bequeathed a brighter future to our children than we ourselves had. Today, it seems that we are willing only to provide them a darker one and by doing so we commit a sin toward the future.

Further threats to American freedom can be found in the arrogance, greed, and corruption of the House and Senate. No longer do the nation’s representatives give ear to the voice of the people. No longer do these stewards of freedom have knowledge of the laws that they pass because they do not read the bills. No longer are the laws of the United States being written in the light, but are hidden in the dark, behind closed and locked doors so that the people are kept unaware of their actions. These are the reasons that I say that the citizens of the United States are being taxed without representation by this government, a set of circumstances that Americans have not had to live under since King George III.

Worse, the unadulterated, absolute arrogance of our elected officials is amazing to behold. From Sheila Jackson Lee talking on her cell phone and giving political shout outs to her political allies while a cancer survivor was trying to speak of her experiences to her, all the way to Harry Reid turning up his nose at Americans waiting in the hot summer sun to visit their capitol, prove that the Federal government has lost its mind. Truly, the representatives of the people have transformed themselves into an aristocracy that cares not about the plight of every day Americans, but care only about their own welfare first and foremost. This is the reason that those in Washington no longer fear the American people. They now expect us to fear them and their power over us. This is a situation that must not be allowed to continue if we are to be a free people.

Worse, the secrecy and subterfuge of the Congress pales in comparison to the actions of the President. Not only does President Obama bow to foreign potentates, he apologizes for America wherever he travels and acts as if our nation is an embarrassment and not a source of pride. One could only approve of the President’s actions abroad if we were ashamed of who we are and what we believe in. Rather than to be bold upon the world’s stage, the President expects America to be as timid as mice in the presence of a cat. Further, the President pushes for the passage of bills that he has not read and does not understand. When asked about an issue regarding healthcare reform the President said that he didn’t know what was in the bill. An admission that he no doubt wishes that he never made, but that did not prompt him to actually aquatint himself with the legislation. Instead, he merely continued to support it and to make promises that he had no intentions of keeping. These are actions that any sane American would find disconcerting. The President’s performance on national security issues has been lacking as well.

President Obama waited three months to give an answer to General McChrystal regarding his urgent request for additional troops to be used in Afghanistan or lose the war. President Obama had no cause to drag his feet for so long as it was he that said that the U.S. must win the Afghanistan war and that he fully supported the war effort. The President also personally appointed General McChrystal and said that he would give the Commanders on the ground what they needed to win. While the President delayed, Americans were dying in combat as the weeks dragged on. That is the kind of indecision that betrays the President’s utter lack of experience on foreign policy issues. One cannot vote “present” on matters of warfare. An informed decision must be made with alacrity or you risk lives. If the war is not worth fighting then bring our sons and daughters home, but don’t hang them out to dry while you weigh the political consequences before making a decision. Such actions mark you not as a leader, but as callow and cowardly.

The President’s indecision notwithstanding, he has also taken steps to directly abridge the citizen’s freedoms by executive fiat. President Obama issued an Executive Order that allows Interpol the right to operate within the United States outside the bounds of the United States Constitution. Further, any abuses suffered by American citizens at the hands of Interpol cannot be redressed. What that means is that Interpol can arrest and hold you without ever telling you the charges and you cannot do anything about it. They can search your person or your home without a warrant or your permission. If they ask you a question, you cannot assert your Fifth Amendment privilege, because it does not apply. You could literally disappear in the middle of the night and not reappear for a few months and be released without ever knowing why it happened or even being Mirandized. This Executive Order is in effect right now and Interpol may violate your freedoms at will and it was the Democrats that brought you this. Effectively, the United States of America now has its own secret police and your freedoms are non-existent when dealing with them. I believe the President’s actions to be a direct violation of his Constitutional authority. Nowhere in the United States Constitution does it permit the President of the United States to abridge the individual rights of American citizens for a foreign agency on U.S. soil. Such an action is not the action of a President, but of a King and a tyrant.

The actions of the Federal government have been more like the actions of the old Soviet Union than as the actions of a government that supports individual freedom and liberty. The government’s war upon Fox News and the United States Chamber of Commerce, Federalization of two thirds of the auto industry, ownership of the banks, unlimited support of Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac, all while abridging the rights of each and every citizen of the U.S. with respect to Interpol all add up to a very ugly picture. The evidence indicates that the United States is rapidly becoming a police state with dictatorial powers and a leadership that is narcissistic, arrogant, and rather fond of blatantly lying to the American people.

That the main stream media no longer reports the news of the day objectively should come as no surprise to anyone. Those who report on the news of the day now view it as their responsibility to carry water for the Federal government and to insure that the President of the United States is successful in meeting his political agenda. Therefore, the news media has become a State run operation and can no longer be trusted with the exception of Fox News and this is the reason for the continued hostility of the Federal government to Fox News. To say that the press has betrayed the American people does not do the treachery of the press justice. It is their failure to perform their duties responsibly that now directly endangers our liberty. This is especially so now that communists roam the halls of power in Washington without fear of being watched.

The President has appointed Marxists and Maoists as his closest advisers and supporters. Van Jones, Cas Sunstein, Carol Browner, John Holdrum, Anita Dunn, and likely the President’s best friend Valerie Jarrett just to name a few. With respect to Ms. Jarrett I do not classify her directly as a Marxist, but she does support Marxists such as Van Jones. Ms. Jarret was also responsible for the attempted conversion of the National Endowment of the Arts to a leftist political organization using your money to promote their political agenda. Propaganda has appeared before on the political landscape from time to time, but this administrations use of it is unprecedented in its scope and ambition while it attempts to lure the people away from the light of liberty while they actively work to fleece the American public.

The accounting practices of the Federal government and contemplated usurious taxation are necessary to cover the unprecedented spending of the current government. Multiple sets of books, fudging the numbers, and flat out lying to the American people about what is spent are all normal activities for the Federal government. While President Bush waged war and expanded Medicare, his successor has outspent him by a factor of four and still the Congress and the President seek to spend ever more of our hard earned money in a shaky economy while they work to monetize the debt placing all citizens at financial risk. By seeking to take over one sixth of the American economy the government hopes to secure its grip on power. The fact that 80% of Americans are satisfied with their health insurance and that only 35% support the socialistic takeover of American medicine does not give the Congress pause. The government continues to charge forward despite the heat that many Senators and Congressmen took last summer at healthcare reform town halls. The left has ended political careers, bribed United States Senators, placed the cost of those bribes upon the rest of the Union to pay, and did so despite the public outrage over their actions because they know that once done, it will likely never be undone. Their power will be secure and you will be marginalized and forever dependent upon the government. This is critically important because dependence deprives you of your freedom and prevents your escape from governmental control. That is why they are willing to take a beating now so that you will be under their thumb later.

As your taxes climb, your savings will dwindle and your standard of living will decrease. That is the promise of economic justice. That is what the President meant when he was speaking of spreading the wealth and that is why the President appointed communists to be his advisors and that is why they seek to destroy the greatest wealth creation engine in the world. Capitalism allows you to be free from dependence upon the government because you can provide for yourself. Thus, we find our nation at a crossroads of a sort, with one road leading to tyranny and the other road preserving our freedom. The Federal government would lead us down the path to tyranny and it is a road that we have already traveled as a colony, but there is still hope for freedom.

While the American government has gone insane, the American people are still who they have always been. We were the ones who have shed our blood for the freedom of peoples all around the globe. It was we who broke the back of the Nazis and defeated the imperialistic Japanese in World War II. It was we who reached for the moon and walked upon its surface. We survived the Great Depression despite the bumbling of government and the Federal Reserve Bank, and we even withstood a civil war that took the lives of more than 600,000 Americans without being broken by it. The American people have known hardship both economically and individually and we have never faltered as the guardians of freedom.

As Americans, we prize our liberty and we will fight anybody who attempts to steal from us our freedom regardless of who would do so, and yes, that even includes our own government. That was why we shed the blood of British troops and threw off the yoke of servitude to a tyrannical King. Despite our best efforts to resolve our differences peaceably, we had no choice, but to resort to revolution. Freedom is worth killing and dying for and this is the meaning behind the phrase, “Don’t tread on me.” It is meant as a warning and this is why there is usually a rattlesnake displayed with the phrase. The snake does not attack without due warning to the offender, but if pressed it will strike. This is why the Federal government is on very thin ice at this point in American history and why the phrase has seen renewed use.

After the attack on Pearl Harbor, Admiral Yamamoto was informed that the Japanese declaration of war had been delivered too late. The Admiral realized the truth when he said, “I fear that we have awakened a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve.” Admiral Yamamoto knew the American people because he had studied in the United States and knew who we were as a people when he spoke those words. Since then, we have returned to slumber until the actions of this Congress and this President have awakened us, and now our government will get a taste of what Admiral Yamamoto feared because it now threatens the freedoms of its own citizens and it does so in the gloom of night.

The Federal government has no power, but what we choose to give it and what was given can be withdrawn. To my fellow citizens, I charge you to remember the wrongs done by an out of control and tyrannical government come Election Day in November of this year. Take back control of our government and remind Washington that they serve us and not the other way around. Tell the spurious aristocrats in D.C. who really runs this nation and let them know in no uncertain terms that we will protect and defend our freedoms. Exact from them the same fear and anxiety that they have put us through and more.
