Actions and Consequences

You may have noticed that my blog updates have been coming a bit slow in the past weeks. This is basically for two reasons. First, I wish for my readers to reflect upon what I have already written. The second reason is a bit of a quandary. What the hell should I write about? There certainly is no dearth of topics to choose from. Barrack Obama being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for doing nothing, the determined efforts of corrupt legislators to really stick it to the American citizen with socialized medicine that he doesn’t want, the President’s lack of motivation regarding our troops in Afghanistan and his lackadaisical approach to providing the necessary back up for them in combat as soldiers die in the field and the General on the ground has warned that we are losing the fight, the usurious taxes making their way through the bowels of Congress, the fact that Standard and Poor has warned that if the Federal government continues spending the United States will lose its AAA bond rating in three years, the rampant corruption in Washington D.C. that is reminiscent of a third world country, green house gas emission laws that promise to be a brake on an already stalled economy, and the fact that we are now faced with taxation by a government without representation all vie for attention. All that just off the top of my head and I can probably think of another half dozen or so if I tried.

With the approval numbers in the toilet for the Congress and headed that way for the President, one would think that the idiots in Washington would wake up and smell the voter outrage, but one would be wrong. Worse, the media lickspittles continue their unabated hero worship of an inept and unqualified President and continue their spewing of unadulterated propaganda for the left while the one news source that can be trusted is under assault by the White House. You know, it is times like these that try men’s souls or so I read once.

Questions without answers continue to plague the White House and the silence of the response is deafening. Are you a Marxist? Who vetted Van Jones? Is there anybody in the White House that respects any of the founding fathers? Why do so many White House appointees follow the political teachings of Mao, Lenin, and Marx? Whose idea was it to use taxpayer dollars to have the NEA produce propaganda? Why is the White House alienating our allies while getting close to our enemies? When is the President going to act to support the troops fighting in Afghanistan? Why is the White House attempting to demonize Fox News and the United States Chamber of Commerce? Does such demonization signal something more sinister to come? Ask whatever you will, but the only answer is silence.

Locked doors so that Republican legislators will be frozen out of the legislative process, secret deals being worked out of sight of the public, government dealings to transfer oversight and accountability to the Federal Reserve Board so that the citizen remains ignorant of what is transpiring behind the scenes, and legislators that view their constituents as an intolerable burden rather than as their rightful superiors all combine to signal massive trouble for our Republic. Worse, legislation is being passed without being read and it is not provided to the public for their scrutiny. This behavior denies the American people a voice in their own government which raises another question, who is actually running our government? The Service Employee International Union has written the first draft of the healthcare reform bill and meets with the President once each week. Are they in charge? What other bills have they submitted? What role did the Apollo Alliance or the Tides Foundation play? Again, questions without answers and the citizen is kept ignorant as to the workings of his own government.

That the citizen is kept in the dark is, of course, the objective of the Washington aristocracy. We certainly wouldn’t want the ignorant and stupid proletariat to cause trouble now would we? Better to keep them in the dark and out of our hair in the political process. It is precisely this kind of arrogance that will strip you of your liberties and you will be so busy standing in line with your hand out looking for Uncle Sugar to put something in it you won’t even notice it when it happens.

Today, we find our Republic in peril and we stand by and do nothing. Sure, there have been a few TEA parties and some folks got riled at town halls until the Democrats pulled the plug to shut you up, but what have you really done? Did you write your Congressman and Senators? Did you write the editors of your town newspaper? Have you discussed your frustration with your friends and coworkers to build a coalition against the aristocracy in Washington? Will you cast your ballot for traditional American values or will you cast it for Karl Marx?

While there are some that say that we just need to return the government to sanity, I charge that it is far too late for that and we need to vote all of the bastards out because they have all failed to uphold their oath of office. They have all failed to heed the constant pleadings of their bosses back home. They have all nearly spent us into oblivion. Enough is enough. If Washington no longer represents us, it is because it is our own fault. We elected the jackals and we continue to re-elect them. You cannot keep repeating the same actions and expect a different result. That is the very definition of insanity.

The electorate needs to send a very clear message to Washington, and that message is this: we are sick and tired of you and your bullshit and you are fired. That should get their attention.

America, We Have A Problem

One of the most basic requirements for freedom is the right to free speech. Without it, one cannot claim liberty. If one is only allowed to parrot the government line then how can you call yourself free? The right to free speech was added to the American Constitution in order to protect dissent within the public regarding the issues that face the American government. If such dissent is silenced then our republic is in peril. John Adams silenced such dissent when he incarcerated newspaper people who disagreed with his increase of the Navy in preparation for a second war with England. Jefferson succeeded him to the office of the President by a landslide as a result. The next challenge came from President Woodrow Wilson who had war dissenters locked up for sedition and encouraged the public to rat out their fellow citizens. Today, we face yet another challenge to our most basic expression of freedom.

President Barrack Obama and his administration have declared war on Fox News and the United States Chamber of Commerce. This is in direct response to Fox News not playing ball with the white house by simply parroting what Obama tells them to say and the opposition of the Chamber of Commerce to increased taxation and health care reform. Recently, Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod made the rounds on the Sunday news programs proclaiming that other news organizations should not acknowledge Fox News nor should they follow their lead. This is chilling.

The open hostility toward Fox News and the Chamber of Commerce is designed to intimidate anyone who would oppose the Obama administration. While many on the right are bemoaning the use of such tactics by the left, the real questions go unanswered and they are more important still. What is the Obama administration afraid of? Why is it so necessary to stifle free speech? Why can the Obama administration not stand scrutiny? What does the Obama administration have to hide? All are valid questions regarding an administration that is attempting to silence the news and its opposition. Even more troubling is that this is not the first time that the Obama administration has resorted to these tactics.

I call your attention to the recent incident where Humana was pilloried by the Obama administration for warning its customers that the healthcare reform in Congress would end up costing the consumer more money. This fact infuriated the White House not because it was untrue, but because it was opposition to their agenda. Humana was facing a thorough government investigation for the affront and this investigation was only called off secondary to news coverage of the event that called the government’s motives into question.
Further, the White House through Valerie Jarrett’s office had the National Endowment for the Arts generate taxpayer funded propaganda that would push the President and his agenda in the public. This coupled with the White House hotline for reporting on your neighbors for “suspicious information” and the pieces fall readily into place for a new fascist regime in the United States, particularly given that both the President and his Chief of Staff want a civilian security force as strong as the U.S. military. Can anyone say Gestapo?

By the way, this would not be the first fascist regime in U.S. history, it would be the second. The first was Woodrow Wilson’s administration and that example fostered the development of the Nazi party and the fascists under Mussolini. Did I mention that Wilson was a progressive Democrat that sought for a means to bypass the Constitution? Today, his true heirs are in the White House.

Followers of Marx and Mao, the current administration seeks to bring about fundamental change to the United States of America. First was the assault on capitalism to remove our nation’s prosperity. The next was to socialize medicine in order to make you dependent upon the government. Now it is to silence opposition to the government.

Rarely does freedom surrender to force. Rather, it is slowly eroded by incessant emergencies requiring citizens to give up a little bit here and a little bit there until the rights of the public are so corrupt as to be meaningless. This is why Rahm Emanuel said that an emergency should never be wasted. Under such a cover, you will willingly relinquish your freedoms while thinking that it is necessary or because you have not had time to think it through. It is a vile tactic that is no friend to freedom and the practitioners of it do not have your best interests at heart.

By keeping the media on a short leash, promoting propaganda that blinds you to their real intent, silencing the opposition, consolidating their hold on the market and communication, the Federal government can rob you of your freedoms and by the time you realize it… it is too late. Our founding fathers did not trust government because government relied upon men and men are weak and flawed. That is why there is separation of powers. That is why there are checks and balances. That is why the judiciary is the last line of official defense for freedom, but when incumbents find work arounds in the system because they have been there for decades, it is you and your liberty that suffers.

Do not go gently into that good night of a despotic and tyrannical government. Rage against the dying of the light and of your freedoms. Do not allow tyranny to replace what was once just and true and offered hope to our children for a future that is dark, cold, and small. Go to and support the TEA parties, write your elected officials and tell them how you feel, and contact your local and state governments and tell them to assert their sovereignty under the 10th amendment to the Constitution, but most of all protect your first amendment right.

We Told You So

The recent admission by Anita Dunn concerning the Obama campaign’s control of the media is not news to conservatives. Furthermore, it should not be news to the people of the United States either. The media lickspittles of the left willingly and knowingly suppressed news stories, promoted others that damaged Obama’s opponents, and only ran puff pieces about Obama and Biden amplifying the emotions and support of a candidate that was not and is not qualified to be the President. Obama went from voting “present” in the Illonois Senate to less than a year as a United States Senator to the White House and now we have to pay for it partly due to our own stupidity and partly because the news media betrayed us.

That the news media would so willingly sell us out should surprise no one. That the left would consistently lie to us about their control of the media should also surprise no one. That Ms. Dunn would so openly admit that the news media is the Democrat’s bitch is rather surprising. I have no doubt that Charles Gibson at ABC news has no idea that this story is breaking and will remain blissfully ignorant until about 2013.

The news media began its descent into becoming the mouth piece of the Democratic Party when Newsweek got in bed with the Democratic National Committee to discuss the best way to destroy Joseph McCarthy back in the 1950’s. Since then it has taken its cues from the DNC, Media Matters, and the kook fringe ever since. No longer do the media adhere to any standards of professionalism or ethics as these things tend to ruin a good piece of propaganda.

Rather than to cite Murrow or Cronkite as their heroes, those who work to actively mislead the public should admit that their greatest hero is Goebbels. When the media realized that they could indeed sway public opinion with their reports they became enamored of that ability and saw the public as their personal playthings and began using us as you would a toy irrespective of the harm that it was doing to our very freedoms. They have become as arrogant and corrupt as the politicians that they favor and now they attack the only news organization that tells the truth and does not spew the leftist propaganda that they dearly love.

When Chris “I have a thrill running up my leg” Mathews spoke of insuring the success of President Obama as his personal responsibility, I doubt that anyone thought that he meant that statement literally. I knew otherwise and wrote about it on this very page. What you didn’t know was that the rest of the media thought exactly the same thing as dear Mr. Mathews. Personally, I can’t wait until Katie Couric calls President Obama "dear leader" on the evening news. At this point, that is the only thing missing to put the icing on the cake.

The American Crucible

America is facing a crucible of change at this juncture in its history. No longer are Americans represented by elected officials within the Congress of the United States of America. For that is what it means when Congressmen and Senators do not read the legislation that they pass. You may as well send a monkey to Washington for all of the good it will do you. This is the same situation that our founding fathers faced in 1776. It is taxation without representation. When union thugs write the health care reform bill and meet with the President of the United States of America weekly to guide our governmental policy, as is happening now, American freedom is in dire jeopardy.

While the voices of Americans are being drowned out by hired protestors, the legislators in Washington go about their business as if nothing is happening. Governmental agencies are declaring anyone who stands up to the government as radicals and outsiders. Back room deals are being brokered to shove socialized medicine down our throats and President Obama has been awarded the Nobel Prize for nothing and ACORN is only cut off from Federal funds until the end of October. If I were not certain that I am awake, I would think that I am dreaming.

I have contacted my elected representative in Congress, Mr. Bobby Scott, and I have only gotten a form letter from him regarding his staunch support of the immoral behavior of ACORN. Laughably, he said that by removing ACORNs funding it would be tantamount to a bill of attainder. Pardon me, but I thought that protecting taxpayer dollars from use in an organization enabling criminals to fraudulently abuse the Federal government would not constitute an illegal action as Mr. Scott suggests. If one were to use Mr. Scott’s reasoning, the Congressional power of the purse constitutes a bill of attainder. When asked pointed questions regarding ACORN and their funding I received only silence as my answer. Apparently, Mr. Scott represents ACORNs interests and not those of his Congressional district.

The fact that CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, and MSNBC all tow the government line indicate that we as Americans now have a state run media by the choice of these organizations and General Electric in particular as the parent corporation for NBC. In fact, The New York Times is on the government’s payroll having received 250 million dollars thus far. No wonder they fully support the President and remain mum about inconsistencies in the government. I wonder when the other news agencies will receive their pay off.

While I may sound like a radical nut ball, it was the President of the United States that said the government had to support coalitions of power in order to bring about redistributive change. If that sounds Marxist, that is because it is and therein lays the fundamental change that Barrack Obama promised the American People before he took office. The death of capitalism and the rise of Marxism, but don’t take my word for it. Here is what Pravda said:

“It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American descent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed........... The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more than another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Weimar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.”

You may remember Pravda as the voice of the former Soviet government. I believe that they would know what they are talking about in regard to communism. If one doubts that the American people are headed for a Marxist government, then I ask who owns Chrysler and GM? Who owns the major banks? Why is the President talking about increasing the power of “coalitions” to redistribute wealth in America? Who is actually running the government? President Obama will not address these questions and continues to work behind the scenes in darkness so that the American people are kept in the dark and ignorant of the agenda of the left, the Tides Foundation, and the Apollo Alliance.

The left has lied to the American people for decades and hides their true agenda to prevent any interference by average Americans and with this President who was installed by a corrupt media who diligently covered up anything that would harm his ascension to power, President Obama may very well be the beginning of the end of American freedom. The current President has steadfastly apologized to the world on numerous occasions, believing the United States to be the most corrupt and evil government on the planet. He has extolled the virtue of communist dictators while distancing us from our close allies. He has promised transparency in government, but only delivered murkiness at best. Finally, he even dismissed American exceptionalism saying that all nations see themselves as exceptional. Really? What about Myanmar Mr. President? How about Red China? How exceptional are these governments?

The worse part of the debacle that is America today is the insipid apathy of the American people. When confronted with the reality of what is going on most people merely shrug and say, “What can I do?” Plenty, but if you remain apathetic you will one day awake to find yourself a resident of a land that you do not recognize and wonder how in the hell you came to live there. Unfortunately, it will be too late to make corrections by then. We have a choice, either we support the government that our founding fathers established or we allow the greatest achievement of man to be swept away by a modern, self destructive mediocrity that celebrates the foreign while it denigrates the native and is now known as progressivism. This is why they want to silence dissent, this is why they want to confiscate your guns, this is why they want to indoctrinate your children, and this is why they destroy your morality. If they are successful they will have cut you off at the knees and you will forever be their servant. Progressives do not care about people or social justice or righting wrongs, they care about power and they are corrupt. They will skirt the law, defraud the government, and lie in order to get and maintain power.

Our founding fathers knew that the pursuit of power is man’s greatest weakness and that is why they sought checks and balances, but that system is at the brink of failure because we will not stand up for our own freedoms. Either we are free or we are slaves and our own worst enemy is apathy. I submit that we are the second generation of Americans that face taxation without representation. The burden is on us to fight for our liberty and to establish control over a government that has run amok and now listens to special interests while it blithely ignores those from whom its very power is derived.

Defend your freedoms, insure that your children will have their own liberty and a voice in the making of laws, if not you will be the one responsible for allowing the achievements of Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Hamilton, and all of the rest of the founding fathers to perish from the Earth.

We Are So Screwed

You may have noticed that I have not updated my blog recently. This is for two reasons; the first is that I wanted those who visited my page to contemplate the ethics of their elected officials. Secondly, the Federal government is so corrupt and inept that one hardly knows where to begin. To say that President Obama is ineffectual, a liar, and a fool would simply not do justice to the dilemma that the American people find themselves in. We find ourselves at the mercy of a bumbling Federal government that grows increasingly more tyrannical each day as the Congress attempts to usurp the authority of the electorate. The unmitigated arrogance displayed in the contempt for the voter and his wishes is more demonstrative of this problem than anything else.

In fact, many of the cowards have canceled their town halls so that those who wish to express their displeasure with their representative will be met with only cold silence. Truly, arrogance and a deaf ear to the electorate are the first signs of tyranny. Worse, the Federal government seeks to draw power unto itself that it has no right to acquire. The United States Constitution specifically lists the authorized powers of the Federal government and expressly states that any power not listed falls under the jurisdiction of the States. Nowhere within that document is the Congress authorized to provide health insurance to the public. Nowhere in that document does the Federal government have the ability to transition from a capitalistic economy to a socialist one, and yet they do so despite our will.

Today, many Americans are wondering what hope our children have if this communist/socialist wave continues in our capitol and rightly so. With a legislative body acting more like an aristocracy each day and the left continuing to blatantly propagandize our children at schools and with publicly funded art, our Republic is in grave peril. While President Obama promised hope and change he only delivered the failed governmental systems of Europe to the American people and the press and Congress has backed him fully. Worse, corruption is running rampant among those we sent to Washington to work our will.

Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John Conyers, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and God knows how many others are ripe with corruption. These people have betrayed the trust of the American people and lined their own pockets at our expense. They promise transparency and deliver darkness. They say that they will eliminate earmarks, but they spend taxpayer money as if it grew on trees. They take a vote and lose and then take another vote until the result that is desired is achieved. If the rules prevent them from obtaining what they wish, they change the rules. They ignore the blatant corruption of their own party while they raise the hue and cry over the least infraction of their opponents. They rush through legislation that the vast majority of Congress hasn’t read and do so on a Friday night to avoid the notice of the public. My fellow citizens, these are the actions of an elite aristocracy and not of a humble public servant.

Indeed, our interests have not been served for many decades. It is high time that we demonstrated the power of the electorate to those who have no fear of us at all. I submit that we lock onto two objectives:

1) Clean house and vote out all incumbents as the failures that they are.
2) Institute term limits for the House and Senate to prevent this from happening again.

The job of the representative was never intended to be one of a career. Rather, it was intended to be a part-time job for the public benefit. By allowing these jackals to remain for so long they have found work arounds to the safeguards installed by our founding fathers to protect us from a tyrannical Federal government that we are faced with today. No longer does the government work the will of the people, it works the will of special interests and of those who wish to subvert the government of the United States and turn it into a socialist government similar to those on the European continent.

That the left has done this to the American people is tantamount to treason for it was they who brought out nation to this juncture and it is they who have endangered our freedoms. We now have an empty suit in the White House who would rather go to Copenhagen to beg that the Olympic Games be held in Chicago while ignoring the desperate pleas of the Commander on the ground in Afghanistan for 40,000 additional troops requested back in August and the cost if he is ignored? The Taliban wins. To add insult to injury the First Lady said that she wished that Americans appreciated their sacrifice for our behalf. I don’t know what she is smoking, but it must be some pretty good stuff. For your information Mrs. Obama, I don’t give a rat’s hind end about the Olympics and you and your husband have far greater priorities than lining your friend’s pockets in Chicago.

Also recently, five billion dollars of TARP money was given to the National Institutes of Health for economic stimulation. Pardon me, but I thought that money was to go to relieving the pressure on blue collars not physicians at the NIH. While I don’t have any objections to medical research, I do object to an apparent 850 billion dollar Presidential slush fund named TARP, especially since we are currently operating at 1 Trillion dollars in the hole on the current Federal budget, that’s trillion with a “t” by the way.

While we screwed ourselves in the last election, I pray that you don’t forget the malfeasance of the media who propped this jackass up and suppressed any stories that would dim his luster. It was they who created this cult of personality that is Obama and it is they who need to pay for their betrayal of the American people. Don’t buy their newspapers, don’t listen to their radio programs, and don’t watch their broadcasts. Let them receive their money from the Federal government like the New York Times does (250 million so far) and cease their sickening pretense of being independent. They are the lapdogs of the Democratic National Committee and the enemy of a free people.

Freedom requires a strong citizenry that is awake and diligently defends its liberty. Communism and socialism thrive on apathy and human misery. These forms of government have butchered more than 115 million souls in the past 100 years. The left constantly seeks to weaken the strong so that it may invade and destroy the host leaving only a semblance of what once was. That there are those who actively seek this form of government should surprise no one because the weak will always choose the path of least resistance and the predator will always befriend these people in order to acquire power, but when these people are installed in office and are secure they will turn on those who installed them. This is because they know that the dupes that they used to get into office will try to destroy them when they finally realize the damage they have done by assisting such people.

While we wrestle with our national troubles and an out of control Federal government, the world is growing more dangerous as each day passes. Israel looked to us for protection and advice, but it seems we prefer Hamas and Hezbollah to Israel these days. This places the burden of taking care of Iran squarely on Israel’s shoulders and without being able to count on the support of the United States. In fact, President Obama’s administration has been advised to shoot down Israeli jets should they stray into Iraq on their way to Iran. So much for being a friend of Israel.

We elected a fool and a fool is what we got. We have to live with our fool until the end of his term, but we don’t have to accept his foolishness. For the love of freedom and of our nation make your voice heard. Let Washington know what you think and feel and remember what the bastards did on Election Day. They need to be reminded that there are penalties for their actions and contempt.

Oh well, maybe Obama will have a beer summit with Ahmadinejad if he nukes Israel.
