Just How Stupid Are We?

When one considers the broad scope of human accomplishment and then looks at our response to politics and the environment one cannot help, but to wonder just what are we thinking? Take the fires burning in California. The environmentalist nut jobs litigate against anybody who tries to actually manage the land and the end result is high levels of fuel for a wildfire which is forcing thousands to flee for their lives. United States Senator Barbara Boxer blames the fire on the War in Iraq and on global warming. Just what the war in Iraq and global warming have to do with the blaze I don’t know, but the liberals are up in arms about it. When one considers that the environmentalist nut jobs are also liberal democrats and are therefore responsible for the destruction of what they are trying to protect, you begin to understand what it means to be a liberal.

This is the type of thing that drives conservatives crazy. We try to understand the thought process of the liberal mind and quite simply, it is impossible. It is like trying to understand the dream world of the psychotic while he is in the grip of his psychosis. On the one hand, the libs want to protect the forest and keep it natural while combating global warming. On the other, their preferred method burns the forest to the ground and leaves thousands homeless while at the same time emitting more carbon dioxide and thus worsening the global warming crises. That the plan makes no sense in view of its results is irrelevant to anybody who makes the decisions for the liberal environmentalist nut jobs. Truth be told, it is the wise management of the land by the government and sportsman who do more everyday to protect the environment that any of the liberal environmentalist groups. Sportsman who wish to hunt and fish protected lands pay fees in order to do so and these fees are in the billions of dollars. The environmentalists want hunting and fishing stopped and where do the environmentalists plan to get the money to replace the lost revenue? From your pocket dear reader, regardless if you have never hunted or fished on protected lands.

These same environmentalist liberal head cases also want you to use green lighting. As you know, incandescent bulbs consume so much power. Additionally, it will save the planet by combating global warming due to reduced carbon dioxide emissions. What the liberals won’t tell you is that each and every fluorescent bulb you use also has two milligrams of mercury in it. You may recall the expression, “mad as a hatter?” People said that because hatters used mercury in their trade and the brain damage was a permanent result of their livelihood. Therefore, when one of these bulbs break a mist is created laced with mercury for you to breathe. Additionally, millions of these bulbs are destined for the land fill. What will be the effect of so much mercury showing up there and possibly in the water table due to rain washing the pollutants into the ground water? The liberals choose to overlook the pollution caused by their bright ideas in favor “saving” the environment for the future just as they overlook the deforestation caused by their other brilliant plans.

Even better are the millions dead because these same nut jobs had DDT banned. Rachel Carson gets cancer and then goes around looking for a chemical pesticide to blame it on and arrives at the doorstep of DDT. Never mind that sweet Rachel lied about Dr. Albert Schweitzer’s endorsement of her position, when in fact he was diametrically opposed to her position. Yet, there were the left wing nut jobs looking for an environmental cause to gather around and DDT showed up right on time. The fact that these people murdered millions of people in the third world aside, they still proclaim DDT as the doom of the natural world. They say it thins the egg shells of birds, they say it causes cancer, they say it has nearly wiped out entire bird populations, and they say all of this because of the fraudulent research they performed so that they could say these things. That’s right dear reader, the environmentalist nut jobs have never met a lie that they wouldn’t tell. The facts regarding DDT are clear. It is not a carcinogen, it has never thinned the egg shells of birds (in forty years nobody has been able to replicate the experiments which found this result), and the bird populations that were cited as being destroyed by DDT were in fact in decline long before DDT was ever used in the environment.

When one examines the record of these environmentalists, you cannot help, but to think that these people are crazy because their results are 180 degrees opposite from their goals. They say that they want to protect nature, but they end up burning it down. They say that they want to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but they end up creating an even worse environmental disaster with mercury that will prove far deadlier. They say they want to protect man from dangerous chemicals and end up killing millions with malaria. Just how stupid do we have to be to still listen to these people? These fruitcakes have fouled up everything that they have tried to save. It is like a doctor who desperately tries to save the life of his patients, but ends up killing them instead. Worse, people give them prizes for it. Al Gore just won the Nobel Peace Prize for flying all over the world in a private jet telling people that they have to sacrifice their standard of living because of carbon emissions.

I won’t listen to them anymore and I advise you to turn a deaf ear to them as well.

The Danger of Modern Liberalism

When Walt Whitman wrote about politics just prior to the civil war, he was astonished that he could see a man cutting another’s throat, figuratively speaking, and the victim of the act was so unaware of the damage that he even thanked the perpetrator for cutting him open. The submersion of self to the point of not being able to tell if you are injured, similar to the man in Whitman’s essay, has not abated, but instead has greatly intensified.

One by one, each of our individual rights are being trod upon and we are oblivious. The right to free speech, the right to bear arms, the right to think for yourself, and the right to live free from governmental interference are all fading from the assault of the left. Common sense has been replaced with party speak and the rabid followers have taken to the streets to complete the ruination of our nation in favor of their idea of a worker’s utopia that Karl Marx would support. To this end, they have engaged in a bait and switch game with the public.

They offer unlimited sexual gratification regardless of deviance, no judgments regarding perversion, no risk to the self in foreign wars, and a future where you will not have to work for what you want. In essence, the liberal left has become Santa Claus to the American people. Indulgence of the self is the liberal creed, but there is method in their madness. As the individual immerses himself in this hedonistic morass he anesthetizes his sense of responsibility to others, his values, and lastly his desire to preserve his own liberty. He becomes blind to the damage he does to himself and thinks that he lives a good life and he holds nothing but derision and criticism for anyone who does not think as he does. This is why he sees no value in his own society. To him, it is antiquated and repressive, a thing of ugliness that must be destroyed for the good of all.

Once, we had an early warning system to alert us to dangers within our society and it was called the free press. However, the free press has not failed the American people; rather it is a willing accomplice to our destruction. It supports modern liberalism to the fullest extent possible while barely maintaining the illusion of autonomy. Similar to the American people, the press has become enamored of the bait offered by the left and thus has aggressively pursued the liberal agenda in order to sway public opinion toward the left. As such, the main stream media has become a propaganda arm for the liberal leadership.

In addition to the propaganda machine, the left also uses the court system to publish its agenda. Legislation from the bench is an old liberal tactic that has paid hefty benefits. The major coup was the 1974 Roe v. Wade decision which legalized the butchery of individuals for purely selfish reasons. The impact of that decision has been 4.5 million slaughtered and counting. By seeding the Federal judiciary with judges that think as they do, the left can publish its agenda in the public domain without ever having to pass legislation. This is why the left grills conservative appointees to the Supreme Court to try to get a feel of where they stand on Roe v. Wade. If Roe were overturned, they would never be able to pass legislation restoring it; hence the benefit of legislating from the bench would be lost. The problem with such “legislation” is that the American people have no input into the law, but this is exactly how the liberal left likes it.

We have talked of the bait, but where is the switch? The switch comes into play when the liberals manage to change our form of government from a representative republic to a socialist government. This is why they desperately want to institute universal healthcare. Universal healthcare is the first step in establishing a socialist regime and it is not a new trick either. In the 1920’s American socialists knew that anything with a socialist label was doomed to failure if the American public had to vote for it. However, if one attached a liberal label to the program, it would succeed. The first target was determined to be national healthcare because it could be argued to be “for the children.”

Where the left faltered was in the excitement to pass such a program, they spoke of their full agenda and ended up losing their position. Today, Hillary Clinton has made much the same mistake. She has once again floated the national healthcare plan, but she has also said that she would use the government as a weapon to insure that people became insured, up to and including preventing you from earning a living. If you cannot earn a living, you are dead in the water. Ultimately this is how the liberal left views the government, as a weapon. The target of that weapon is anyone who does not take the liberal position in both thought and deed.

Normally, that would be enough to scare the hell out of people, but the liberal anesthesia works only too well. Instead of being seen as the threat to liberty that they are, the public just looks at them as well intentioned, if misguided, people who want what is best for the country. This is a grave mistake. They are not misguided, they are organized and they have the machinery in place to publish their agenda.

I have told you who these people are and what is coming. What I don’t know is if you will believe me before it is too late. A choice is before you, will you shake off the liberal anesthesia and protect your liberty or will you indulge in the liberal hedonism until you are at their mercy. I leave it to you.
